Of course the fan speed on the card was on max.

I was reading on oc.net it have some chips and cards call golden  batch that uses less voltage and can output high clocks .

So I maybe got 3 of those cards .

Let me get this out of the way first:
I think 4k displays is the future, they sweet. And you are going to need a monster rig to push 1 of these. (3 Titans would serve just fine.) If you plan on going with 3 4k displays, forget about it. Never gonna happen. 4 Titans eh pushing that.

Now, in regards to that specific display you post....how can I put this......HELLSSS NO! :laughing7:
Seiki?.....d name speaks for itself. But brand aside. There are several things wrong with that display.

1. You're capped to 30FPS..........very, very, very very, very bad. I does be so annoyed if my fps drop to 55, being capped to 30 is horrible.

2. It's cheaply built (it have a reason it only cost 1000$)

3. Not having display port going to limit the performance of that display big time.

4. I didn't watch out the entire video, but I'm fairly certain the contrast, color, black levels, etc etc etc, are crap on that particular display.

If you really want to go 4k I recommend this:

http://anandtech.com/show/7157/asus-pq321q-ultrahd-4k-monitor-review

It's clocking in at $3500, but this is a good display. This is d price-range to expect good 4k displays, anything going for 1000$ , is rel cheap no good crap. Is like buying a pirate cam rip dvd instead of a bluray. Spending money to get a i7-x and 3 titan, then to gone pair it with ah knock-off? not recommended atal.

Dell is also poised to release their 4k display as well:

http://techreport.com/news/25128/dell-shows-32-inch-ultrasharp-display-with-4k-resolution

This also is going to be a very premium display.

Personally I buying the dell. But since 4k tech now launching, this stuff is going to be expensive.

In closing, not because it mark 4k on the box means it's a good display. A high quality 1080p display will show better than a crappy 4k display. The 4k display go show text and sharpness better, yes. But a good 1080 display will outperform that display u posted in every other way. For movies, 4k completely pointless at the moment, if u was planning to use it also for that.

For desktop and gaming it has it's uses, but you're going to be sacrificing too much. Mite as well spend yUh money and buy something proper, or not atal.

Messiah is right. 4k is definitely the future. Now normally I would say a good 4k monitor is beyond reach of most people, but considering what we've seen this benchmarking thread over the last few weeks, i'm inclined to say its well within reach for some (you know who you are lol).

Ok, I checked out that Seiki unit when it was first announced. The 40 inch can be had for "just" 700us$ but as Messiah said, @ 4k res its limited to 30hz, aka 30fps which is pretty crappy for high end gaming. Just to be clear, if you have a powerful enough system, your frame counter could tell you any number over 30fps but the fact is that this TV simply is hardware limited to displaying a max of 30fps. I believe this is largely a limitation of HDMI which DisplayPort rectifies, which this TV doesnt support. Boo.

Now the next step up is something like this Sharp unit which does 60hz @ 4k res. I really dont mind getting a 40" version of this when it comes down to $1kus. That'll be a couple years again though but i'm in no rush. We will need significantly more power to push this res....don't even THINK about multi monitor setups with these yet. As far as I know, neither nvidia nor ATI have drivers available to do this yet...but we can dream right...

Watch this though...

^^ Agreed.

And yes, sharp is bess brand, I personally think Sharp has the best TVs right now. So u cant go wrong with Sharp.

There is a way to combine 2 HDMI ports to overcome the limitation of the 30fps, but the seiki don't support that either.

We need the new HDMI standard to launch to fix these issues. but DisplayPort been around so long, and it already solve the issue. Only thing is, the PC market adopted DP, but the Home Theater market didn't. Go be interested to see how it plays out. (My Dell monitor is DisplayPort, u cant get it up to 1billion colors unless u use DP, hdmi just don't have the bandwidth)

Will take in that video in a bit.

Quote
Let's be honest: almost no one expected one of the world's first 4K monitors to be ho hum. After all, it has eleventy gazillion pixels. Er, a native 3,840 x 2,160 resolution, but close enough. The gurus over at HotHardware were able to take the 31.5-inch PQ321 for a spin, and predictably, they loved what they saw. Outside of being duly impressed with how the panel handled everything from Photoshop work to gaming, they were also taken aback by the monitor's svelte frame. In fact, they found it a little tough to look back on a 1080p screen after a couple of weeks with this thing -- it's like the SD-to-HD revolution all over again. That said, they did confess that the product feels a bit ahead of its time, and the monstrous $3,500 price tag is certainly indicative of that. Feel free to hit the source link for the full spiel, but the long and short of it is this: if you're in the one percent, buy it.

Next week I will finish all the cable management.

Question Do you think its wise to hook  up the PCIE connection to the board for additional power?
