TRINIDAD and Tobago has been displaced from its position of dominance when it comes to using Google to search for pornography on the Internet, according to statistics from the top Internet search engine over the last 12 months.In 2008, this country was on top of the world when it came to using Google to find pornographic material.The figures are calculated on a per capita basis, meaning there have been more searches for porn per head of population in Trinidad and Tobago in comparison to anywhere else in the world.However, Trinidad and Tobago has now been forced into second position.On top now is Papua New Guinea, which is located in the South West Pacific Ocean on the eastern half of the island of New Guinea. More than four million people make up the island’s population.Rounding off the threesome was the United Kingdom, with Zimbabwe close behind.The week December 27 to January 2 was the period that Google porn searches in this country climaxed over the last 12 months, statistics showed on Thursday.The week starting February 14, when both Valentine’s Day and Carnival were celebrated, came close to surpassing that time.
