I don't know why people keep insisting on comparing COD to BF....tired of that already....Two separate games, two different styles of gameplay...at least Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer listened to the community and got rid of some annoying perks like "last stand" and "Commando" and this title seems more balanced...so its a WIN WIN for COD fans, and as for BF, they are getting what they always got, team based play and vehicles...so lets all agree that this COD vs. BF talk is pointless...
I think Shiv will disagree on that copy and paste crap people are talking about..the man knows first hand what work went into MW3 and he will disagree on that view I am sure. I've heard that 16 maps are coming with MW3, how many for BF3? I am buying BOTH games because I enjoy both, different styles of play as I said, but to say MW3 is nothing new and took less work to make is not a very good assumption..
Here's a challenge then, those who find fault in COD being COD and apparently not having anything "NEW", propose what you would like to see in the next iteration of COD then....since Activision/Infinity Ward/SledgeHammer/Treyarch have been doing so wrong for the millions of COD players. What "NEW" thing would you like to see from COD? Hmm? Oh wait, then it won't be COD anymore, since it will be changing what COD is...not so? Want it to look more like BF? then people to say, oh look, COD is copying BF...Copy Halo? Copy Crysis? Should they just stop making COD all together? I think this would be a good exercise to see what gamers want from Call of Duty instead of bashing it since it doesn't have anything new..
the one pull in this for me is the free dedicated servers. Will see how that pans out. Otherwise not wowed at all just yet.

(based on what notnice and cptawesome have fed back after their efforts to secure one)Not so with with MW3. That feature means we can have a local sweat with LAN like pings. Next to no latency. I for one CANNOT wait!Been relatively quiet on the copy and paste issue but I'll give my 2 cents now since the discussion is at a fever pitch.I've played every version of street fighter. Thrown a hadoken in no less than 10 different iterations. Paid for with hard $$. I support capcom (and yes they can get a bit ridiculous with it) but I'm a fan. If this keeps street fighter alive, they can count on my money.Likewise for games like Fifa. Every year, you get basically a slightly upgraded version.I'm happy that Battlefield 3 is pushing the envelope....but I think we can harp about that (and we do) enough in the battlefield 3 thread. Every game doesn't have to bring a revolution with each release.Seen enough content with MW3 to justify the spend. The campaign is also worth the price of admission alone for those who enjoy a good single player experience (based on their track record). It has trumped many other games (battlefield included) in that regard year after year.
