Ok so time finally come to get a new system (only going for amd processors) i'm stuck between these two processorsat the moment the phenom II x4 965 and the Fx 4170 quadany recommendations on either would be appreciated.i also checked benchmarks and they seem similar in performance wise, but i'm seeing some chatter saying the bulldozer isn't really all that good.

no intel especially that expensive 3570k, the most stressful thing this system wud be doing is running stuff like maxon studio 4d /unreal engine /unity that kinda thing, also trying to remain in the 90-110 price range
The 3570 is about US$219Not really that expensive in the scheme of things but I understand where you're coming from. You need to draw the line with these processor prices. Could get real out of hand.Personally made a pledge many many moons ago not to buy a CPU over US$300 on principle. Regardless of how sweetly it is marketed by Intel. lolI did slightly break that pledge with this I7 2600K currently running in Anya. Cost US$318.00However, it did come with a digital copy of Battlefield 3 (then worth about us$49.99) so when you take that into consideration, the price was within budget.
awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
