YES!!!!!!!!!!

I don't really care if it comes to steam because you still need to run origin to play.

btw still no response from DICE. absolutely pathetic, im even showing them the social aspect of it not just from a clan/competitive pov either. Game will fail hard on consoles just like their other efforts and ppl will be on their mw3....such a shame to see such potential wasted by dumb dev decisions, this year needs to end quickly bunch of disappointments right through

If DICE won't respond to you, it's probably because they don't consider your suggestions that 'important',
(and I use the word 'important' loosely here).  Not that your suggestions aren't valid, but DICE is sticking to
what has worked for them for the last three games.  It may not be necessarily what you want,
but you either buy the game and live with it, or don't buy it.  It's that simple.

Maybe what you want is a system that allows you and your merry band to just beat up on random groups
of players who may not be as 'pro' as yourselves.  Sadly, you are in a very small, but rather vocal, minority.
Most of us prefer it just the way it is.  On PC, it doesn't really matter though, because there's Mumble,
which handles all comms, regardless.  Most of the times we have played, we're not in the same squad,
but the Mumble comms allowed us to be as effective as we needed to be.

Perhaps you need to start playing your FPSes on the PC.

I was like you once, when I believed that Goldeneye on the N64 was THE be all, end all to multiplayer shooters... then I saw the light (aka Unreal Tournament on the PC).

Nothing you say at this point will change anything, so stop 'hotting up yuh head' homie.  Seriously.

where anything about being pro and beating up on randoms come into play?
what have i consistently said in the past? that i rather a challenge and play against organised ppl than stompin on noobs all day which is what a proper party system will provide rather than it being 3 grps of 4 all off doin god knows what which in turns makes it even easier for me to move around

http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/soldier/gatt_ViCeKaRTeL/stats/351561420/ps3/
bear in mind i play solo most of the times since when we squad up we end up on different teams anyway (awesome party system!) due to auto balance and mics dont work...at all...not even in the same squad (teamwork by telepathy ftw!) and i still always get 1 of the mvp ribbons

the problem is most of yall looking at it from a PC perspective and not looking at it from a console perspective, all my issues have nothing at all to do with PC and if console ppl cant see the glaring flaws in the design of the game then god help this new generation of gamers

PS: for the last time when d pc get the games i like to play then talk to me about playing fps on the pc other than that i see no KZ, no SOCOM, no Resistance, no Uncharted, No DUST , no starhawk nothing of the sorts coming to PC so why in god's name would i buy/build a gaming pc? to sit and stare at the parts?

Well sir, you are the architect of your own issues.

Your console tears,  I  can taste them.

Continue to bask in your non-PC-ness, and keep complaining.

If you feel so strongly, then do like Shivadee, and try to get into the industry, and try to actually make a difference.

For your sake, I hope Sony brings you the PS4 soon, and guess what, it'll be closer in capability and feature-set to a gaming PC than you might care to appreciate.

Great new fellas

"After analyzing the data from our first round of closed Caspian Border tests, we have great news for participants in the Battlefield 3 PC Open Beta: the DICE team has decided to bring back Caspian Border for the beta’s final weekend and conduct an open large scale test of the 64 player Caspian Border map.

*****Please keep in mind that as this is beta we will be stress testing our servers***** As such, users may experience crashes, network instability and outages as we roll out and configure servers and network utilities. Understand that such potential issues and the testing environment are not reflective or indicative of the final product and that, through your participation, you will be helping to ensure future stability and functionality.

As we are again specifically testing 64-player server configurations, this test will be for PC only. The Caspian Border servers will be available for all PC players to join. Caspian Border will be available starting Friday, October 7th, in the afternoon (CET). "

Nice! I hope they both leave the servers password unprotected and have enough of them!!

This fighting to get into a server is real pain.

*EDIT* Ok, it seems like both my questions are asked and answered. Caspian Border servers are open and one hundred in number RIGHT NOW!!!!

SWEATTT!

skip to 28:05 onwards...
ummm wtf happened at the end?
we clearly clutched that 2nd mcom station and blew it up but lost? thought once the mcom is armed defenders still need to disarm it to win?

@Arc sorry that i am not a fanboy and bring up flaws in a game (ppl need to learn the difference between a fan and fanboy), sorry i dont let things slide and just bend over and take watever they throw without voicing an opinion.

Kool sony can bring on the PS4 anytime, like i said its a matter of the games and quite frankly console gets most of what the PC gets + moar in terms of content so at this point in time till the PC gets more exclusive games, particularly shooters, that can are only available on the PC then investing in a gaming PC is a waste of money. Its that simple.

I have yet to buy a 360 for that very reason, payin for a console then payin for online to only play 2 games that interest me = waste of money, when ah win d lotto then sure.

Man say only reason for gaming PC is exclusives and no exclusives = waste of money yes.

Increased power under the hood resulting in vastly better graphics and higher level of immersion into the gaming experience compared to any console is all a waste of money right?

*MINDBLOWN*

Nobody saying not to have your console for the exclusives you like so much but at least acknowledge the fact that the PC is undeniably the superior platform.

If you ever see BF3 running at 1080p maxed out, you will not even argue. Guaranteed.

Well.....it's not the industries' fault that your interests are so narrow my friend, and nowhere did I use, or even suggest the word 'fanboy'.  I think we're above such nonsense now.

I have no problem with pointing out flaws, hell, I do that with every game I play, but at some point you've got to either accept it for what it is, or just walk away.  MW2 and Black Ops are two examples of this.  I just simply couldn't accept what was presented, so I simply walked away.

In short, make lemonade, but nothing's wrong with abandoning it if the taste isn't to your liking.

On topic:  Caspian Border for PC only eh.

The irony here is just laughable.

PC ftw? :laughing7:

Top 10 Battlefield 3 Open Beta issues and how we are addressing them

We’re more than half way through the open beta and thrilled to see so many people still enjoying the game while continuing to give us great feedback. As part of our dedication to showing you how your feedback is directly affecting and improving Battlefield 3, here are the latest Top-Ten Community Issues that we’re addressing.

1. Squad issues: Cannot play with friends within same squad, squads get split up onto opposite teams, etc.
There will be improved squad functionality in the retail game (including but not limited to): the ability to create squads prior to launching into a game, sticking with your squad when joining a game and continuing together through future games (If team balance on the server allows it), inviting friends to a squad and changing squads once in game.

2. Regarding additional Open Beta content and fixes/patches for consoles, including PlayStation 3 issues with chat and party systems
While we would like to patch the Open Beta, DICE is currently focusing its available resources on polishing the retail game.

3. Will DICE have enough time to iron out everything by release?
Please see General Manager Karl Magnus Troedsson's blog post regarding this question.

4. Can we have ability to change settings/options before deployment into match on PC?
The ability to modify your settings via the deploy screen has been added into the retail game.

5. Issues with terrain stability and “falling into the map” on Operation Métro
This has been fixed for the beta via a server side update.

6. Kill cam sometimes zooms out too far or outside the map
This has been fixed for the launch of the retail game.

7. A bug that sometimes keeps some players from being able to sprint
This has been fixed for the launch of the retail game.

8. Screen flickering/stuttering. Blue screen remains after respawn. Game locks up after deploying C4 (360)
This has been fixed for the launch of the retail game.

9. Downed bodies appear to be dead, but are not
The DICE team has been looking into this issue – which is caused by a combination of incidents in a confined area - and are working hard to address the issue for the launch of the retail game.

10. Why is the hit detection seemingly different from Battlefield: Bad Company 2?
The netcode is one of the many things that we are testing as part of the Open Beta and is not necessarily reflective of the final retail game. The DICE team appreciates and has heard the feedback you’ve provided and is further optimizing online play.
