The scores aren't as impressive as I'd hoped (honestly thought this would end up 80% or better on RT), but then again Zack's other films have received similar mixed reactions, and I have enjoyed those films immensely regardless.

Looking forward to the general audience reactions.

Actually most of the general audience won't be taking on reviews and what not.  As it stands that score is still decent, about the same as Watchmen had.

Also take into account the movie doesn't open till the 14th over there so the score will change as more reviews come in, I have no fears seeing as WB let reviews come in early which indicates that they are confident. Usually when studios know their movie is BS the review embargo stays till the day before the movie's release lol.

Acquired the OST today and that is awesome btw lol.

This is only 42 secs but damn and there is a whole hour of this in the movie....ermagherd!

One thing I've noticed most of those negative reviews using the old Donner movies as a template for Supes, stupes.

http://screenrant.com/man-of-steel-reviews-2013-superman/

Their verdict 4/5 (Excellent)

Quote
On the whole, this movie is exactly the sort of experience that many Superman fans have been asking for, with the added benefit of having some smart storytellers providing fresh insight into why the character is one of the most iconic fictional creations out there. Like Nolan and Christian Bale’s first Batman outing, Snyder and Cavill’s first crack at Superman isn’t a homerun (we’ll call it a triple), but having succeeded in re-introducing the franchise to the masses; crafting a satisfying summer blockbuster; melding real-world sensibility with sci-fi fantasy (better than Green Lantern ever did) AND leaving the door open for an entire DC superhero universe to follow behind it, Man of Steel has more than earned its keep, and deserves to be THE iconic Superman movie for a whole new generation. (Sorry, Bryan Singer…)

As of now the votes are 50k plus on IMDB

And according to this article the movie should pass 200mil after today its already at 156mil worldwide and 120 mil domestically in the US . So i guess a DC universe is on the way finally.
