Tho since we on the topic of actors who could probably play Supes i remember watching the first Hulk movie and thinking Eric Bana looked kinda like him 0_o

well in the comics hes closer to 6'4 in the shows hes about 6'3 and of course Tom is 6'2.

1"-2" is EASY to hide in movies, so this shouldn't be a concern. Look at how they created the illusion of a TREMENDOUS height difference in LOTR.

Idk if they might go the unknown actor route again, probably who knows but Ryan Reynolds is Green Lantern and Bale is The Dark Knight so what if they do choose a relatively known actor?
