initial shot had me kinda worried when i came to the suit design, but seeing it now i must admit, it looks pretty damn cool. fans might miss the red jockey shorts, but i think live-action Superman looks better without it.

Men have problems with Sup's jockey shorts, well yes...LOL

But I agree, the suit looks cool without the jockeys...  :sassy:

Im thinking since the cape is bright red our eyes would be tracking that more so we won't realize his junk is there.

As long as it's not conspicuous in the actual film, I'm good.

Apparently his personal trainer has been earning his cheque. Ripped muscles and ripped pants, looks more like Hulk.

And it gets better, looks like WETA is doing the VFX work for Man Of Steel.

WETA are best known for Avatar, LOTR, King Kong, Rise of The Planet of The Apes.

Quote

"Zack’s going for pretty much everything in-camera as much as he can. I mean, the reason to think about Superman in CGI, you don’t need him full CGI as a character, because he’s basically a full person. But you just don’t want the flying scenes to look like he’s on a wire. So [the question is] how do you use CG to make that happen, and that’s still kind of being played with right now."

On the flying scenes and how there is still a lot to be done with practical effects, he said:

"I think it could still be refined. Because there’s always room for interpretation there. The idea of a human flying, because you can’t actually tell how they’re powering themselves, leaves it open to trying different things."

Even though he didn't reveal anything about the flying sequences, The Playlist added:

"While Letteri didn’t reveal exactly how they were depicting Superman’s flying sequences, he said that they were primarily focusing on what was in the script and what Snyder wanted rather than referring to the decades upon decades of comic book images they could potentially draw upon as a reference point."

About doing these kind of scenes, Letteri also said:

"That’s completely story-driven. That’s going to depend on your shot and your composition, and the performance, and in that case, that’s kind of Zack’s call – what is he looking for there?"

News has been slow on the superman side of things but last I read a trailer is supposed to debut in June or Comic con, Cavill and Crowe took scuba lessons (possibly to simulate flight movements tho idk how crowe fits into that equation) and then this set pic here with a rumored run down of the scene. Suit looks good on regular film tho.

Spoiler (hover to show)

News was out yesterday or day before can't remember, another link with extra info the guy gives to prove credibility.

Snyder is supposed to be talking about Man Of Steel at the Hero complex film festival which is taking place over the weekend. If he doesn't show a trailer there then footage would most likely be at comic con in July. Also rumors about the trailer being attached to TDKR. Gonna update the thread name one time.
