Artificial inflation of the score or not, the man is correct by saying it was never stated in the rules. This of course is subject to conversation as the benchmark thread has always been very open minded. If the PhysX score are excluded from 3DMark on a global level, I am hard pressed to see a reason we can't follow the same, however that is NOT to say we cannot discuss and come to an agreement. Whilst PhysX is a niche, it does add to certain titles and the benchmark itself. Meaning it should not be just overlooked without thought.

We will discuss this further in the GATT Benchmarking Development thread

I will post in this thread now and the discussion will follow. Until such time as it is made policy of the forum, no scores will be changed or placing modified.

Well fellers, it was a valiant attempt at matching firstchoice's Xtreme i7 CF 5870 Rig, I've done my benchmarks in a Hot AC-less room, in a cold room, the milage will definately increase, but as it stands, d man parts juss too fass, ah try meh bess, ill consider ah cold room, but at this point, looking at his system, his parts still have headroom, if he keeps overclocking, wont be able to catch him,

most impressed at your cpu overclock... thought you had a xeon or something...

neways you see the big difference the phsyx made?
with it.. on a 3ghz cpu you were scoring 19000
without it... on a 4ghz cpu you scoring 16000

thats 3000 points difference.. even with a higher cpu clock

now you within spitting distance of me :p... i might jump back up 2 places if everybody re-bench tehe

yea no-physx is much more fun, force man to benchmark and push their systems to d limit, and not jus stick in ah sub 100$ card, fuh 3-5k point increase

EDIT: Just read that it's not allowed So all the ppl wit Nvidia cards will have to re-post their scores showing that Physx is off?

dais real shit i find. i mean the physx logo is RIGHT THERE ON THE LOADING SCREEN. it's not some 'hack' that automatically raises you benchmarks scores.

i don't see why it's not allowed. the ones who complaining should just go out and get a ppu too. work wit ati cards too u kno. geez, jus now man go bawl

that created the software, right?

Well if u did hold ur breath, yuh wudda live. lol. an Arc, u was the #1 advocate for no ppu use from day one. So why Futurmark promoting Physx in the software itself?
