Hey you guys, there are other threads than the Vantage thread. Please feel free to make contributions to all other threads.

Especially as yall have the tools to enable a killer gaming experience, why not put it to good use. Drop your steam id's on the steam thread, throw down with your fellow members in some suhweattt.

good advice

Wow...cool story bro.

As for 'incremental'...I thrive on it.
That way I don't have to look for 3500 US to spend on a new rig. :)

you enjoy your incremental purchases, and ill enjoy the #1 spot on gatt :)

Incremental is where its at for the poor man, also for the man who want to more or less stay current with the tech and max out the current titles.

As for the 5850's im going to have to disagree with you there bro, my 2 5850's cost more than $100us ($550 + $192tt shipping) less than what yall paid for that 5970..because I absolutely cannot spend $650 or $700 on a card.

Besides, what I can do IF I wanted, is take one of those cards and put it in another machine to make two killer gaming systems.

Anybody who just won the state lottery can go ahead and go all out and buy the most elaborate setups out there.

With significantly less lavish means, ive managed to run some of the exact tech that yall have there for quarter of the price..or less. Its not about how much money you can pelt out, but what is the best bang you can achieve without breaking the bank...

That applies to 95% of the global enthusiast market anyway.

So yes its all well and good to work with a blank check, but as you can see, performance in the same class can be had without having to take out a personal loan.

dread,, we does wait, save, sell, and upgrade,  dat works for d poor man too, i doing dat since wen, all my partners does do dat, . buyin it piece piece, and buyin it all at once, makes no difference, same money spending, and i rather wait til d new tech drop in price actauly, get it for less.

d biggest boon is waitin on d right hardware to buy mordan anything, like waitin on Rev2 of parts and stuff

D0, etc. point taken with d multiple cards to reuse in 2 machines. i had 2 8800gtx afterall, so i know. but a sinlge gpu card better, when i ready to upgrade, d price i sellin my 5970 for, will give me a much bigger return, dan trying to sell 2 5850s.

Also, is there a liquid coolin thread anywhere here, or a genral thread we coudl talk bout coolin, for d men who interested.?

And for d men who done buy d all-in-one kits, nothing wrong with dat, like i said, i did d same when now getin into it, but expereince thought me, it was d wrong move, so for those who ent buy it yet, dont.

for d ones dat buy it already, run wiht it a lil bit, get d expereince, den upgrade.

its hard to prove d point when we shell out so much money behind d rig, so we'll leave dat to phoenix, when he upgrades later in d year, with his budjet rig, and take 3rd spot lol. ill let that too d explaning.

Yes yes, understood @ saving money and selling etc to buy new stuff, but the money still have to spent at some point, and spending 1.5kus over the course of about 2 years, to me, and to many of us out here is DEFINITELY preperable to putting out 4k us in one shot...or even over the same period.

My point remains the same. Me, with my more limited means like to rush the new tech once the price is within reason and my budget can handle it. Ohhh I loves me the fact that its nearly a year my i7 running and it STILL feels like I just got it.

For me to be able to do what you guys just did, i'd have to save for about SEVEN years and even then, id find it VERY hard to spend that amount when I can achieve the performance im looking for for a lot less.

Listen guys, I totally get that you guys like the whole ultimate system scene, which is good. Youll get no hate from me. Its just not my style. At all.

best point you made there is the fact that you get the perfromance your're looking for, nobody is saying go ultra uber, obviosuly everyone cant go there, but ppl should go for d performance dey lookin for, i have a 30" and since i get dat, my games crawlin at 2560*1600, so i wanted d performnce boost bad.

But how i saying to spend, applies to d midrange and low end market too, i still think it better, to sell out as a whole, and upgrade as a whole (even at low and mid range budjets) dan to upgrade piece piece. d end results are better in my book, which phoenix will demonstrate in a couple months.

To each his own, it have no right and wrong, juss different ways of upgrading.

one more thing to note, i rel disapointed with d response of arcman and hard oc, on we rigs,  alyuh does make this forum seem rel gay ah wont lie. im 100% sure if i post my rig on XS, there will not be any bargee like what going on here now lol.

oh gosh let we put this who spend wha and who have no budget thing to rest nah people, someone said in a diffrent thread you get what you pay for, let we just leave it at that nah man it kinda getting boring now, starting to get Flash Backs of Young and the Restless here

a liquid cooling thread here will be a waste of time IMO, extremesystems got lots of data on LCS from a lot more people that might be a better resource for people looking for a wider view on LCS systems.

just me 2 cents

Point out where I said something unsavoury bout your rig....

...don't worry, I'll wait.

My problem is with your attitude towards me. You and your fan club seem intent on making a scene with me whenever you come onto these forums.  You alone know why.

Yes, you have a bess PC.  I'll be the FIRST to admit, but don't expect me to jizz all over myself because of that.  If that 'disappoints' you, then tough.

...and just to show you how much of a non issue this is for me, I'll see to it personally that you get your vaunted #1 spot. :)

the problem start, with yuh "should i be flattered? im honored"

that is d barty man attitude right there, ah post meh machine, do ah normal coment nah, why yuh trying to throw off d uberness of d rig, by doing like we build machien jus to beat u, lolol. no u shoudlnt be flattered, and shoudlnt feel honored. we not buidling rigs for d sole purpose of beatin arcman.

and things juss heat up from there, i think since i buy yuh 2 cards from yuh, give phoenix it, and tel yuh u did shit, it always had something between we after dat, if alyuh meat meh on d street alyuh mite hole meh and beat meh, lololool.

everybody else on d forum, post ah proper response, except u and hard oc. why is dat. just HAVE to add something extra in there, shuve off d lix yuh juss collect.

Also what i find is bargee is d fact that alyuh trying to simplify it down to d fact that, we spend more money, so we automaticaly win, it dont work so, alyuh eh know d balls we went through, overclcoking and getin dem thing stable, dies why i say ill provide d excel sheet fuh who want it, is real skills went into d rig, not juss money. stop makin it look like we jus shell out money and claim victory.

*W1nTry steps into thread......O_O *

ALL dis going on fellas? Ok, let's leave the discussions (positive or otherwise) for the other boards and personal BM threads. That being said any further SPAMMING of this thread will result in NUKING. So i've updated the scores (that took A WHILE) and we will try to keep it up to date as ppl submit their scores. Good job to the top 4, I would say this reflects well on the hard work of all parties involved and shows the stretching of the limits of air and even water cooling.

For the waterers (yes I just made that up) I will create a water cooling thread as soon as I am done posting. For the remainder of GATTdom that are still to submit their scores, remember to create your own benchmark thread and post all the relevant screens as proof. Just for your benefit I will state what is expected of you (though it's mentioned in other theads)

MUST HAVES
1. CPU-Z/Everest CPU verification on clocks
2. CPU-Z/Everest Motherboard Specifications (chipset, RAM, etc)
3. GPU-Z verification of GPU used and closck
4. 3DMark Vantage score (showing the resolution or settings such as default is desirable, lower res==higher score generally)

Optionals:
5. AOD, Asus Probe, etc apps that show temps, fan speeds etc
6. Stability test (prime, OCCT, Linx, AOD, SuperPI, etc)

If the first 4 items cannot be captures in 1 screen shot, then multiple screens may be used save and except the CPU-Z CPU screen MUST be shown to ensure the same platform is being used and not using some other man specs)

Happy Benchmarking folks!!!

P.S. @ Waterer's aka MessiaH and IsMe2003, allyuh really ought to join the GATT folding @ home team, those rigs could do some major damage as it stands we are already in the top 500 with really 4-5 main folders. Team# 71093

damn those 5970's

I can't justify the cost of those cards in my machine as HD space and more ram are more important for me, BTW o I need to rebench and report now ? no one taking my score seriously?
