Funny enough there are people with lower systems than urs that are almost a good 10000 points ahead of you, e.g. kgfalby and Eroo.

Do you plan to OC at all or your goal was just to beat saxman? If not, that poor system's potential will never be reached and it will remain like those children whose parent's never pushed them to realize and aspire to their dreams. Falling into the mediocre and sub standard in society..

lol, it was just to beat saxman

as was telling the guys on mumble, my dual core system ran every game I played just fine.

Going to just tweak and update drivers. full stop. Not gonna overclock a single iota of this rig. It is already overpowered as is.

Much too fast (and too good) for little chirren.

PS...I now check the rankings and Mez get lihixxx and all oui. Dazwhawetalkinbout.

So again, why get the i7 2600k if you weren't going to overclock,? Could have saved yourself some money for the kids/wife or on the light bill 0_o

Mez has an i5 btw, so to beat him only about 600 points with both your systems not OC, it shows more that you would have been better off with the i5 2400/2500 or 2500k at a whole $100 USD less. Just my 2c.

@ virtue....haters gonna hate but the i7 will offer more bang (at stock settings) than the i5.

More bang = more lihixxxx for saxman

beating mez was just lagniappe seeing as his graphics card cost much more than mine. lol
