Yeah...TWO Sapphire HD4870s. (512MB and 1GB)

Both look like this...

 

512 MB was purchased in Feb 09, damage = $900
1 GB was purchased in June 09, damage = $1100

...but you KNOW how I do...you can get BOTH for $1700

bess deal here peeps...yuh hardly finding a 4870 under 170USD now.

the card is the best single gpu you could get at this price bracket...if you have something girly-man is time to upgrade

Yes...you can only take advantage of all GPU RAM when you pair them identically (512MB + 512MB, or 1GB + 1GB).

So both of these cards togther in CrossfireX mode will yield 1GB total in available RAM, but the upside is that
you get significant increases in fps across the board.  Of course, those increases vary with driver version,
game engine, resolution, and IQ settings, but its safe to say that the performance is -almost- on par with a single 4870X2.

lol i know eh but i still have some hope...... i was too tired when i got home last night to come on here  otherwise they might've been mine darn or the 512 @ least so i wlda go xfire with my current gpu

i believe you would have been limited to the speed of the 4850 on the 4870...or sum so...correction plix if appropriate
