DC rebooting ALL titles in Sept 2011!?

so Dc has decided to reboot all thier major titles and also redesign all the characters....

I think shit like this is why the comic book industry is dying. How many times they gonna reboot Superman origin?

This was all inspired by Flashpoint if I remember correctly. They said it's in an effort to gain new readers as the main titles before required readers to have knowledge of prior comic events.

Its a gamble.  Old schoolers like myself won't look too kindly upon this...but if that's what it takes to garner a new legion of readers, I say they should go for it 'balls to the wall'.

There's no law saying that comic characters shouldn't get a reboot.

It just needs to be done tastefully...but I have no idea where 'tastefully' begins or ends.
It'll be a tough sell for DC, especially in light of the fact that the competition seems to be
hitting its stride lately.

I havent been reading titans lately...but I'm looking at that new superboy.... why does he look more like cyborg supes? Did he get in a really bad accident or something?

Well they have Geoff Johns doing the stories for it and since he's the one who brought books like Flash and Green Lantern back into the lime light as well as Jim Lee on artwork. With Lee's artwork and Johns' stories I'd say they have  a good chance. Tastefully here well at least IMO should be subtle and not force too much of the new stuff on readers.

Liking Supergirl's outfit wonder what "new" Powergirl will look like

They could say Supe's suit is made from Krytponian armour

Superboy looks like he has a more "Brainiac" thing going on there to me.

The redesigns are pretty "meh" except for Supergirl's.

Also, I pretty much doubt anything Dan Didio says concerning quality ever since he screwed with Countdown to Final Crisis and Beast Machines.
