http://www.crispygamer.com/features/2009-11-30/game-of-the-decade-make-your-nominations.aspxThe Game of the Decade. An enterprise so portentous that it ought to require weeks of careful consideration, agonized self-reflection and serious debate. Instead, we made a bracket, 'cause it's more fun.The GOTD candidates have been capriciously selected from the best games to hit shelves since Jan. 1, 2000. The Game Trust sifted through thousands of titles to create this bracket, and in the next two weeks or so, we'll narrow down the field of 64 games to one almighty GOTD.By now, our astute readers are shaking with rage, as they've surely noticed that the bracket contains only 60 games, not the necessary 64. See, we realize that this type of thing inevitably spawns comments along the lines of "I can't believe you left out Game X, the greatest artistic creation in recorded history!" Admit it, you were already scanning the bracket to see what we forgot.Hey, we're flawed beings. We probably did miss a few of the decade's crowning achievements. So we left one slot open in each "division" of the bracket, and it's your job to fill those empty seeds. Make your nominations in the comments, and the most popular selections will complete the field. The criterion: greatness. Interpret that as you will. (And don't take the divisions too seriously when you're making your nominations. The boundaries are pleasingly fuzzy here.)The Game Trust will vote on each matchup to get the bracket down to 32, and from there, the readers will make the call. So follow along as make these wonderful games fight each other for our enjoyment. Sixty-four will enter. Only one will be crowned Game of the Decade.
i would think it would just take 10 games to choose from... game of the year for each year and choose the game of the decade out of that...
I'm hoping that Shadow of the Colossus gets game of the decade.
