http://www.digitalbattle.com/2009/11/24/10-first-person-shooters-to-look-forward-to-in-2010/2010 is looking to be a great year for gamers, especially those looking for some FPS action. We’ve compiled a list of 10 FPS games that are certain to make an impact in 2010, and games that you definitely want to check out.Battlefield: Bad Company 2(PC, PS3, Xbox 360, March 2, 2010)Bad Company was the first FPS game to bring true destructible environments to a multiplayer shooter. If you looked for cover, it was no longer safe to hide behind a wall, which was only one grenade from being reduced to dust. In Bad Company 2, don’t expect much cover inside buildings either, as they can now be leveled to the ground.Crysis 2(PC, PS3, Xbox 360. Fall 2010)Despite being 2 years old, Crysis still looks gorgeous and can bring even the most powerful system to its knees. Crysis 2 will be sure to expand on that level, and will be built using the new CryEngine 3, which includes full DX 11 support across the board. Start saving up for a new PC.BioShock 2(PC, PS3, Xbox 360. February 9, 2010)Taking place ten years after the original BioShock, BioShock 2 packs a lot more than its predecessor. Among other things, players can now take control of the infamous Big Daddy, and will be able to step outside of the underwater city of Rapture as well. Oh, and there’s multiplayer too.Deus Ex 3(PC, PS3, Xbox 360. Q4 2010)The Deux Ex series are pure cult to cyberpunk games. And while Deus Ex 3 will take place in 2027 — 25 years before Deus Ex — it’ll still keep the cyberpunk culture alive and well. As far as we know, at least, as Eidos hasn’t released any details about the game other than some concept art.MAG(PS3. January 25, 2010)MAG is set to be one of the most anticipated games for PS3 owners, and especially, hardcore multiplayer FPS fans. MAG is the first game to feature massive 256 player battles, at a time where 64 is usually the limit on the PC, and far less on consoles. The game will include details stats, awards, squad based systems and a lot more. Hopefully the end result isn’t chaos.Rage(PC, PS3, Xbox 360 & OS X. Q4, 2010)Id Software’s first original game in over a decade, and the first to use the new Tech 5 game engine, Rage is set in a post-apocalyptic Mad Max-kind-of-world, and a is a unique blend of first person shooter and racing game.Halo Reach(Xbox 360. Q4 2010)Unveiled at E3 2009 — and without any further details — Halo Reach will most certainly continue Master Cheif’s quest, and, on a sadder note, it’s the last Halo game to be developed by Bungie. In true Halo fashion, a multiplayer beta will be available in the summer of 2010.Alien Vs. Predator(PC, PS3, Xbox 360. Q1 2010)The team behind the first Alien vs. Predator is back behind the wheel of the franchise, and is looking to reboot it with a bang. The three classes will still be playable, where you can choose between the marines, Aliens or Predators. The game is built on a brand new engine, sporting all the DirectX 11 bells and whistles, among other things.Postal 3(PC, Xbox 360, PS3. Q2 2010)The Postal series has been regarded at some of the most controversial games ever made, have have been banned in several countries. It looks like Postal 3 won’t shun away from the same, violent-filled sandbox style gameplay, and this time, it’ll feature director Uwe Boll (who made the 2008 Postal movie) in a cameo role.Red Steel 2(Wii, February 16, 2010)Wii owners haven’t got much to look forward to in 2010 when it comes to first person shooters, with the exception of one: Red Steel 2. While Red Steel was a massive disappointment, the sequel is set to fix everything, and the developer has gone as far as saying that they’ve taken in the criticisms, and will make sure Red Steel lives up to the expectations this time. We sure hope so, as it looks fairly bleak on the FPS front for the Wii.

Future new hosses:Bad Company 2Crysis 2 Alien vs Predatorand MAGThat is all...
Ok, so I played a few games in the MAG so far.............and I found it to be a tad 'regular' compared to the furious pace of Bad Company 2.Took a lil while to get used to the controls, which don't feel as 'weighty' as other games, but thankfully there's lots of options, so at least ONE oF the configs should work for you.Don't get me wrong, its a lot of fun, and it sounds fantastic on a headset, but it seems like Bad Company 2 is the one to beat in 2010. I hate to make constant comparisons but DICE set the bar VERY high with their beta.Suddenly...MAG's star aint shining so bright.
