out of my collection of 70+ (600gb) games i have there's only one game i ever bought and that's halo2. i paid US $20 for it and the rest of games i download from a certain website. so i am just curious on how much money you guys on this forum spend on games

yes, i think we all realise that since we've grown up as gamers on this forum, we have moved to purchasing more and more. Steam is to blame for part of that and also increased benefits to owning a game now.
The whole online community/achievements thing really has fostered a ooo we should buy this and play together or atleast be on steam or Live together thing.

Was dissapointed that dragon age didnt allow 4 player coop, that would have actually given this game an 11/10. DLC is also a big deal now as well.

Gearsing up for ME2 in a big way.

ive spent about 200 USD for the year on games as well and id guarantee i would have spent more if i had a vtm or if frakkkingggg local game stores had the pc games that i want!! STEUPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
i still cant find a frakking store with MW and its months now i looking.

How ironic that you spend all that money on your PC, and you only ever bought ONE game?

I mean...I'm all for a lil 'beta testing' here and there

, but its gamers like yourself (and don't take this personally) that have game devs/pubs gradually shifting focus to consoles.

I own three platforms, and I've lost count of the amount of money spent this year on games, but I am sure that I've bought more than I've downloaded.

I've spent about $250 US for the year on games, some ps3 and some older pc titles. I agree with that last point, as I've gotten older the number of games I buy has increased/acquired copies decreased hehe.

I've spent more money on games than I care to count (more for fear of the misses discovering the amount than anything else) lol

Over US$300 this year for sure. That figure gonna increase in the next few days with Tekken 6, MW2 and Dragon Age.

Like arc, it's spread across multiple platforms. Wii, PS3, PC and of recent Xbox 360. None of the console systems are modded so only orginals on those.

agreed @ Steam. It is largely responsible for the recent uptake in PC game spending from my pocket. No looking back. kick ass service.

i am not employed. i am still a student and i have really fast internet so downloading a game only takes 2-3 hours so i put a few games to download while i sleep. i use my halo2 serial on other windows live games so i get to enjoy the full benefits of live games

hmm.. i'm console only right now..
a mixed bag of new and used.. about 300 USD or so in total

used games are a bit of a grey area, as the money does not go to the publisher..but on the other hand, it puts money in the hand of the seller to probably buy new games.
