The theory goes that if you can get enough people talking about the plot of a property, the word of mouth will carry folks into the store with wallets open and free. While some video game specific plot twists are well done, others come out of the blue and “sandbag” the player with confusion. So whether the protagonist was a ghost the whole time, rosebud was the name of his sled, or Patrick Duffy stepping from the shower means the game didn’t happen, these are our top ten video game plot twists.According to Wikipedia: “A plot twist is a change ("twist") in the direction or expected outcome of the plot of a film, television series, video game, novel, comic or other fictional work. It is a common practice in narration used to keep the interest of an audience, usually surprising them with a revelation. Some "twists" are foreshadowed and can thus be predicted by many viewers/readers, whereas others are a complete shock.”Spoiler alert: as you may have gathered there will be some huge spoilers for some games down below, if you don’t want a game spoiled please skip over that particular entry. And before anyone gets mad, I am not criticizing twists that I feel are bad, but pointing out the plot twists, if said twists are completely unfounded before they happen, I’m going to talk about how it came out of nowhere.
