I am going to sterotype here, I didn't see no 'darker toned' folk in that audience... and sad to say but the sterotype is that white ppl are easy to scare... so I not impressed in the least. Now if I had see a homeboy running for dear life... that would make me look twice XD

I am yet to see a modern horror that scares me. The last one I saw that freaked the living hell out of me was "Inside". It was so disturbing that none of my friends even wants to watch it. Recommended to none but the ballsiest of mofos.

I remember that movie. The gore was realistic and intense...but what got to me the most was when she accidentally killed her...well I won't spoil it =]
High Tension is another French movie with realistic gore as well.

I thought this was a very effective horror film. Just note that the version up for acquisition has a different ending than the one being shown in cinema (which is the ending suggested by Steven Spielberg).

Watch it alone at night for full effect =]

I want a horror that freaks me out NOT because its grotesque, but becuase it's just PLAIN PARANORMAL FREAKY!!! I don't know when Horrow went from make you screen like a b1tch to make you want to use the toilet to relieve yourself of your lunch cause its so GORY...

Like i've said before, i've not been scared by a horror since Stephen King's IT and that was because I was like 7 years old. Give me something to make me run to a church and i'll call it scary.

W1n, that would be DMTH. That movie bothered me on a spiritual level. If it wasn't CC8 and I didn't pay $22, I'd have walked out within the first 15 mins. The imagery, the research, the accuracy and detail with regards to the occult... I felt cursed  after watching it. I wouldn't even recommend it to my friends. Anyone who asked me about it, I actually advised them against  it but you need a good soul-shaker so... Fix up.

Probably because of all the reading I did into the occult, the imagery spooked the sh!t out of me... There I go again, reading, lol.
