Fellas, just took in Storm Warriors:

It was every bit as bad as the trailer made it out to be. Cloud, Wind and Nameless rip up the screen. 9/10 flying swords.

Just finished with Bodyguards and Assassins aka Shi yue wei cheng (December 2009)

Came away unimpressed.

The story wasn't gripping. Couldn't care less about the characters and the revolution movement. They just didn't drag you into their cause. I suppose history buffs might know enough about the events to appreciate what's taking place but as a new comer, I was not sold.

When the action did start, it had its moments but almost felt out of place. Like they suddenly changed gears or stitched two movies together.

One a historical time piece about revolutionaries in china, the other, a kung fu kick up with big names like Donnie Yen and Cung Le, complete with old kung fu master fighting with an iron fan!

either way, it's uninspired.

I'll give it 5/10 Dead Activists

hmm i took in bodyguards and assassins and loved it. i do know some versions had crappy subs though.

really enjoyed it yes, far from mediocre in my opinion. thing is it isn't primarily a kickup. Acting was pretty decent as well imo.

You know is amazing to see such epic kick ups like True Legend, failing at the box office.

Dunno wtf people really looking for in an action movie nowadays yes. Or maybe its just that people not going cinema to see 'em anymore. Direct download or dvd idmc.

I hope they find a way to capitalize these films though. Would be a real shame for 'em to go the way of the dodo yes.

Like a steam for movies. Wouldn't mind paying a lil us$5.00 a pop or something.

I hear yuh Wyatt. Maybe they should go international. I don't mind paying a movie price to see it. Ip Man was dah SHIZNIT on the big screen.

Seeing April as the release window.

Took in Supreme Swordsman. It's an oldie but goodie. I assumed was a 2010 released from Arcman's post but we talking 1984 vintage.

Still, a solid 8 broken swords out of 10

Next stop, Kung Fu Master

Had real high hopes but it was lukewarm.

I'll give that 6 invincible shaolin monks out of 10

Was a dubbed version, so that might have hurt the rating. The english voice acting was atrocious.
