Reason - For my dad, he was looking for a decent inexpensive laptop, this should fit the bill, and I rarely (if ever) hear complaints about Lenovo's offerings.

Reason - for my mom, finally getting them to use some more recent tech...she still used cassettes for her classical indian music, about time she stepped up to the 21st century. Not to mention it's simple enough for her needs and isn't overly expensive, so it won't be a big loss if it's not to her liking.

Used one of those sansa's for running. Worked like a champ. Bought it up in the UK for about twice what you paid.

Only retired it when I got one of those touch screen ipod nanos for Christmas as a gift last year.

At that price SPK, you really can't go wrong.

@ SPK: How u manage to choose that particular model laptop?

Seeing some better models with better specs (same Lenovo series)for d same price.

For the SL510 series? I saw units with better specs from the G560 model, which was cheaper, but one thing I factored in was with regards to having a legit W7 Pro as opposed to Home Premium...he says he'll use it at home, but knowing him he'll look to take it to work, and thus will need to connect to a domain. For his needs, 2GB RAM and a 250GB hard drive is more than sufficient, so it was a tradeoff between better specs and having a legit professional OS.

This is considering he's using an 8 year old Gateway laptop with 512MB RAM and a 120GB hard drive and a 1.4GHz Celeron CPU, and he considers it to still be powerful enough for his own needs.

Also, for other variants in the SL510 lineup, they were closer to $500 US or higher, and I was working with that limit inclusive of shipping etc.

Used one of those sansa's for running. Worked like a champ. Bought it up in the UK for about twice what you paid.

Only retired it when I got one of those touch screen ipod nanos for Christmas as a gift last year.

At that price SPK, you really can't go wrong.

I know, my sis has one of the older Sansa models, I currently use the Sansa Fuze 8GB for the car, so I am very well aware as to its quality. Certainly a good option for the price!

Ive been having loads of fun with it.
Got it on ebay, with 6 fletched arrows and tips.
Made my own targets out of boxes and styrofoam.

Teaching my self from you tube and manuals and how to sites.

Its way harder than it looks on tv.
Like seriously, just pulling the bow string is a bigger deal than they show you on tv.

Got some broad heads for hunting season :)

Also gonna get a kit to turn it into a fishing bow as well.
Ebay is so awesome!
This thing is like 700 new and i got the whiskerbiscuit and sight for free too.

that is awesome crixx.

was looking for places locally to learn archery once, but came away with nun. just some place in chaguaramas where monthly training was exorbitantly expensive.

the self taught option has me thinking now.

you toobss!
and lots of archery sites too
THere is a natural component to it, like skating for the first time, where you choose your stance on the board, i skate goofy footed, and it seems i have an irregular shooting stance as well, but beyond stance, you really have to learn how to draw, and hold and aim and shoot.

Luckily we have been playing sniping games for evers, so we know about how breath affects sighting and know about bullet drop over distance. Same issues here but wind has a much more prominent effect over short distances on a bow.

Need lots of space behind and to the side of your target, cause you WILL miss, lol.

But in delaware i dont need a license for rabbit hunting, and there are rabbits in the area, so iam hyped to bag my first non chicken kill ^_^ yay.

not sure what the importation law is on bows and arrows, but ebay has used ones in great shape cheap!

Ive also seen them on sale in west mall, but cant recall what price they at.

Also bought some 3d targets that absorb the arrows energy.

I need bigger ones since iam still not yet pro, but they were cheap to, 20 us.
