Bought an xbox 360 break away cable (lost mine and its necessary for my FPS Max Shooter keyboard/mouse adapter to work with the Xbox 360).

Needed this for some Halo Reach action this weekend.

Second buy was a PS2-PS3 adapter to hook up my Sega Saturn PS2 gamepad to the PS3 for Super Street Fighter IV.

Apparently my old faithful mayflash dual PS2-USB adapter didn't do the trick for the PS3. The d-pad wasn't responding. Works fine with this puppy though.

adapters ftw

Sho-ryu-ken!

how much this costed you? u have anymore?

recently went AMD

bought M4A785TD - EVO motherboard, http://www.trustedreviews.com/motherboards/review/2009/08/06/Asus-M4A785TD-V-EVO/p1

4 gigs DDR 3 Kingston 1333 ram

Phenom II 545 x2 (3rd core unlocked)

should be getting a six core come month end.

Creative Labs Sound Blaster Arena usb headset

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002J9HCV0/ref=oss_product

My Turtle Beach, while nice and sturdy, is very very uncomfortable after 1.5 to 2 hours of use. This creative is  a usb device, eax enabled for positional audio, good sound quality, most of all COMFORTABLE. Both of the above are "Awesome approved?"

The price on this has me very interested. It's much less than my dream positional audio set but I see people complaining in the reviews that it doesn't really have positional audio.

What has been your experience?

Can you tell with a degree of certainty, where gun fire is coming from in a game? Front, rear, left, right, etc...?

Left and right, certainly. Top or bottom, diagonally, 4th dimention no.

What this headset Can do though is be comfortable after hours and hours of use. And the sound quality and clarity is beyond anything ive ever used.

Granted, my headset experience is limited as the only other one ive used is the Turtle Beach Ear Force, I can say this headset it LOADS better than that all round.

The TB does look more impressive and sturdy but comfort and sound (and mic quality) is top notch.

The best part is that it doesnt require a sound card. This cuts one expense from my next upgrade. I will use onboard sound for loudspeaker use. Headset gets 90% of the action anyway.

This baby:

Sharkoon X-Tatic 5.1 Headset

http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/2724/sharkoon_x_tatic_digital_5_1_headphones/index.html
http://www.trustedreviews.com/peripherals/review/2009/09/28/Sharkoon-X-Tatic-Digital-V3---5-1-Dolby-Digital-Headset/p1

5.1 Gaming on PC, Xbox, PS, etc. It WIN

Unlike practically ALL other gaming headsets, this has Analog 5.1 support as well as your Dolby Dig 5.1 It supports Optical and Coax out and it's not USB based (save for the mic on the PC). No driver needed and it also works with my Xbox 360 which was the main selling point. with 1 headset i've not attained 5.1 Digital Audio AND it supports XBL chat so all I ever need now is just my headset. No wireless headsets and speakers to make noise. Also I can control 4 different channels on the headset as it has 4 different speakers in each ear. Here's the technical overview:

Features:

• 5.1 channel headset

• 8 speakers (4 in each ear piece)

• Digital, in-line volume control

• High end amplifier

• Independent, illuminated volume adjustment for each channel and master volume

• Detachable microphone with QuickOn connection

Features (SCU):

• Supports Dolby® Digital 2.0, Dolby® Digital 5.1 and Dolby® Pro Logic®

• Supports the chat function of PS3®, Xbox® and Xbox® 360

• Dynamic Range Control

Bought this logitech c910 HD webcam, as I decided to put my older cam on the family pc

Image quality is pretty sweet!

Bought an in car bluetooth speaker called theJabra 200, since my sister is always driving on the damned phone. The whole talk about the law they're going to put in place and of course Mythbusters showing how retarded you are being on the phone while driving prompted me to get this.....

Will do some field tests to find out if it's any good...

well I think they are the first one to have the GTX 460 2 gig edition. I had a palit card before when I had an AGP system (6600 GT) and it was good
and I did my homework on google. It got some good disposition.
You had problems with Palit before?

Well, for the 460, 1gb or 2gb is going to make very very little difference.

Nothing is wrong with it, it seems to manage a few more frames at ultra high resolutions but you'd have gotten more performance from a factory overclocked 1gig card.

I actually just bid on and won a tritton ax pro. 96 canadian!

Actually in my search of the product best for me I was first considering the Turtle Beach Ear Force X41 but then I read this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16874502005&Tpk=Ear%20Force%20X41 and I was like hmm so much for the Tritton and then I came across the Sharkoon and the fact that the X41 is simulated 5.1 I went with this instead. Amazon also has similar posts about the Tritton.

@ Wyatt, i'll listen out for the bullets whizzing over my head and let you know.

Update on the Jabra 200 Bluetooth Car speakerphone, did a test call with my sister (her using it while driving and called my cell while I was at home) it worked flawlessly.

She heard me clearly and I heard her without any probs. I do not think she had the window down but then again I think most ppl turn up the window when making a call while driving but that's another test to do.

It's got my approval, cause it actually works!! :P
