Linkin Park new album + competition

[Red Paradox]

I listened to the album only once thus far....
and in my opinion, while it's not a bad album it's not quite a good album either. I like the scoring in some of the tracks and some of the lyrics were pretty decent...but I dunno, something seems to be missing...like an element of some sort I just don't know. I remember when I got Hybrid Theory and Meteora I metaphorically killed my cd lens in my discman, pc and even on my grand theft auto games (mp3 folder pc) for a long arse time. I'll let this sink in a little more and listen to it with a different mind set...but so far...something is not kicking in this album.. at least not as much as I hoped for. I was also hoping that the track from Transformers Revenge of the Fallen (loved the soundtrack...despised the film) would make an appearance for the sake of badness...but it didn't.

Lol I guess listening to The Used and Story of the Year had something to do with that.

Yea i only gave it a 7/10 cuz i liked it as a concept album as an Lp album however 6/10 -__-

They set out to tell a story with it and it seems to have worked tho i don't see myself listening to this everyday. Back in my teen days in school i used to kill Meteora from start to finish  everyday. To me it lacks that "spark" they had on their first 2 albums.  

p.s. The messenger sounds like it could have worked with the usual Lp formula, that acoustic guitar and piano made it kinda boring.

Anyway found a B-side thats gonna be on LPUX (LPU10), now this has that LP feel to it.
