this doesnt seem like a sustainable business model.
Really hi def has not even hit critical mass like normal def and 1920 x 1080 is still alot, there is 2540 rez that hardly anyone can use yet, but still its increasing?
We now getting broadcasters to switch to high def @ 720p or so and some @ 1080p, lol, must have cost them alot to do so, but to then make them scale up to 16x current highest def and then with browns law working, in half the time hd took to penetrate then they will double the resolution again and people will have to purchase newer hardware again? and especially since people love the huge displays, what will make more sense would be some sort of replaceable module that can update the processing on the screen.. wont make u able to pack my pixels into a screen, but something of that nature.
Cause pretty soon people are going to get a 72" 2540 screen and just be like well i good for de nex 20 years
i nuh buyin no tv again, and the uhd market will just not get a foothold in.
