Free Comic Book Day Recruits Wolverine, Green Lantern
For seven years now, North American comic book publishers small and large have spread their love on the first Saturday in May, otherwise known as Free Comic Book Day.
From freebies and signings to star-studded promotional videos such as the pro-literacy clip above from Wolverine (which is to say Hugh Jackman), the annual giveaway launched by U.S. indie comics shops to attract new customers and reward lifelong buyers has served fandom just fine, thanks.
