Finally watched this and got damn, Christie stole the show. Everytime you saw her in motion from behind, wtmc.....it is a wonder that the camera men could tear themselves away to focus on anything else.

Hotness aside, this has to be the best fighting game cum movie ever.

Strangely missing were tekken stalwarts like hwoarang, paul and king as well as Lei Wulong and Bruce but say what. Guess it would be unrealistic for the entire cast of characters to make the cut.

Those who did, were very well represented.

Well except for Heihachi. He was much softer and muted than expected. Not the "throw my son into a Volcano" dad that we've come to know and hate. Kazuya played his role well as far as acting goes but his fighting could have been more in line with the tekken badass persona.
Spoiler (hover to show)

The fights were decently choreographed. The fanboy in me wanted to see more signature moves but still, I got enough service with the ones that were included.

Again, the women were scorchers but Christie stole the show completely with those bamcee squeezers. The most compelling case for low rise jeans to date. Even the misses kept commenting on hot she was. If you watch this film for no other reason alone, you will not be disappointed.

I'd post a pic, but it'd be nsfw.

Rating: 8 spinning hook kicks out of 10

^ You REAL generous. Christie aside, this movie was a vacuum in a messy ping-pong room... It sucked balls.

Why do you think this thread is semi-necro?

I've been a big tekken player for years and looking around at the other fighting game movies, this was the best of the lot.

As far as action movie based on a video game, this is how I'd break it down:
fight choreography: 9/10
characters: 9/10
story: 6/10
graphics: 7/10

How would you?

Now I wager your "suck balls" territory is like a 2/10 or 3/10 rating. So lemme hear yuh.

You see that part I put in bold... That right there is what it has come to. Crappy movies have to be good IN COMPARISON to other crappy movies, lol.

As for the other criteria you listed, character development was meh. The pace was nice but:

lol, I waiting for the rating. Put down some numbers nah man.

As for the deviations, could never expect a 1:1 replica when a game hits the big screen. Got to give the directors a little liberty with the script. (Not much, just a little)

They are trying to distill 10+ years of gaming legacy into an hour and 30 minutes after all.

so come with the digits and lets see how bad a movie it was in your eyes.

We talking 2s? 3s? or 6s? and 7s?

I'd give it a 6 because the fighting was good, even if not game-accurate, Christie was BESS, I'm a sucker for Shang Tsung, Kazuya was badass (goatie and all) and I'm still washing the taste of KoF out of my mouth. >_<

For me to give a movie 2s or 3s, it would have to be BEYOND any saving grace. I remember seeing movies that terrible but I can't remember any of them. That was probably a subconscious act of self-preservation i.e. MEMORY SUPPRESSION.
