yeah boy, the colonel was like a live action Sarge from Quake 3.

+1 to you sir for that connection.

Personified the very essence of sarge. Bad Ass to the bone.

lol @ arc. I dunno if the 3D version could raise it from a 7 to a 10 (movie of the year level) but unless I drink a two cup of coffee before sitting down to watch it a second time, I'll never find out.

*edit*

speaking of live action Sarge, I came across this 3d short film with him in it yes. The 3D is pretty impressive, looks all the more like the Colonel from Avatar in this.

I wouldn't say Avatar is 10/10 material...but the 3D pushes it closer to 9/10.

It's kinda like if you see Crysis for the first time being played on an Geforce 8600 video card with a Dual Core CPU and 2GB RAM, then you get to see it on a nice 4870x2 or better video card, paired with an i7 and 12GB RAM.

You get the idea of what it's about in the first time, but that second time with all the eyecandy cranked to 11...just blows your mind away. :)

I have a feeling Arcman would concur 100% on that analogy :P

Indeed I do. :happy0203:

Words escape me when trying to describe just how breathtaking the 3D visuals are.
I mean, you know its just optical trickery, but its so good, that it draws you in completely, and you completely overlook any flaws in the story, or the acting.

I lost count of the number of times where all I could say was 'WOW!!!'  A new word needs to be invented to marvel at this movie yes, because I officially wore 'wow' out.

ZOMG...learn to read earlier posts plx.

However I'm sure this question is on a lot of folks' minds - Is the price of a ticket for the 3D version really $35USD as printed in the Newsday? 0_0

Quote
No, $35TT. The US was a misprint.

3D won't be available until Movie Towne brings in RealD 3D projectors....and that counts for upcoming 3D movies such as Alice In Wonderland...

Just saw this movie and I absolutely loved it. Its probably my MOTY or at least a tie with District 9. It was also my first time seeing a movie in 3d and I really can't describe how awesome it is the first time you see it. I definitely recommend everyone to see this in 3D.

....ok so i saw it(not 3d).....it was....cool. Im however willing to spend some more money to go see it in 3D to see if I could change my opinion on the movie.

Question tho...how does the 3D glasses work over normal glasses? Im not completely blind but trying to watch a movie without my regular glasses would make zero sense.
Guess who's back. Not me. :|

you watching the trailer on a calculator or something synch?

Is there supposed to be a compelling storyline behind these graphics or is it just me?

Just letting you guys know that I called it.
What can you do to end the hunger?
It's no surprise that many will die with the coming shortage of food
When there is no grain to feed the butchered cows
When there is nothing to feed yourselves...
Then you will see that money can't be eaten.

yes you did. i though this movie was meh. i had though that the hype behind this was well deserved but it ended up being an age old formula
cracker end up amoung ppl + start to sympathize + becomes champion = big fight in the end

is like all these movies just start with special effects and fill in the story.

Just like the other 3D cinemas, they give you a pair as you enter, and you have to drop it in a bin when you leave.
