To be honest, it was looking unlikely that Massive Action Game would be heading to stores before 2010, and it would appear that the skeptics are right on this one. A number of outlets have recently changed the release date of this PS3 exclusive, indicating that it won't be out this year.

I didn't even know we were supposed to expect it this year, but apparently some people were. If you were one of those people, now you know. There shall be no MAG for you this Christmas, so you better suck it up and play Killzone 2 some more.

Even though this news isn't surprising, it's still disappointing to see Sony's excellent exclusive lineup get pushed back almost entirely across the board. We've only really had Killzone 2 and inFAMOUS this year, as far as AAA retail games go, with the other big titles like God of War III and Heavy Rain straggling behind. Sony had a potentially killer 2009 lineup, but stretching out the exclusives so thinly could potentially make both 2009 and 2010 look bad.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that extra time has been taken on these games when considered necessary, but it's just tough to see a system having to drip-feed its games over the course of two years rather than wow us with an amazing 2009. Hopefully 2010 will truly be "the year of the PlayStation," but isn't every year supposed to be that?

LOL...after ALL that 'dog and pony show' at E3?

I want this game, but I'm not really miffed by this.  I'll be too busy playing SOCOM,
Modern Warfare 2, and the dozen or so OTHER games that I currently have.

Good ol' Sony eh.  Its a good thing I'm not depending on them wholly and solely.

Doh get me wrong the PS3 is a great system but the online just not doing it for me....

well i not buying it for God of War 3 only, but that is the game i'm starting with. I'm also going to get SOCOM, MAG and Uncharted 2 and the Ratchet and Clanks (I missed my clank)

Also happy this got delayed... Same for bioshock 2.
All these delays are a good thing because that big bang Fall ain't working for developers and gamers...

And MAG going head to head with MW2 isn't too bright.

DelayStation 3 strikes again
so by pushin it back to 2010 d exclusives dat was suppose to come out 2010 wud get pushed back since d release window in between AAA games wud be too small

So both MAG & Heavy Rain are now 2010.....along with GOW3, GT5, ModNation Racers,
also i think White Knight Chronicles has ALSO been delayed (steups).

at least yuh know yuh gettin Uncharted 2 & Ratchet cuz Naughty Dog & Insomniac good at keepin dates
