Here is an advanced strategy:

Watch a movie with her, all cuddly and hit the sack early (say by 9pm)
Get up and sweat for a 2 hours before going to work, while she's still sleeping. lol. (Zero harassment.)
Typical GF doesn't expect morning time to be a romantic scene so by getting in your gaming @5-7am while she sleeps, you're not depriving her of anything.

after much study on the subject, I have a theory on why so many girls hate their BF to be playing games.

It was touched on in this article.

They see gaming as "non productive". Instinctively, women are attracted to traits in a man that will make him a good provider for her and her offspring.

Slaughtering a thousand virtual terrorists in cod4 does not put bread on the table or pampers on little jonny. (Well maybe in Korea, but not in Trinidad)

So unless we find a way to make pro gaming a big income earner, gamers will need to resort to ninja tactics to avoid the ire of their wifes, child mothers and shorties.

The less skilled at evasive tactics will just fall off the sweat radar when these females move in on their territory (as they all too often do).

As W1nTry can attest to, I am married, and yes, I have pressure to sweat, but I've come to realize that as long as you keep the wife happy, a sweat here or there is fine, as long as wifey happy first....that is the key to sweating success whilst married...LOL

I agree with Redlum, put the woman first yes and of course you must have a balance. It does kinda suck that you don't get all night gaming sessions anymore but there are tradeoffs in marriage ent.

lol ate nerding it out! dont thing the gamming would be a problem for me after all, I am a game lover myself. Its great to destress as long as its not overdone and I get to play too lol. The only problems i would have are if im ready to go to bed and he keeps to volume all the way up and "the hand" you know the one were the guy shews the gal away cause she trying to tell him something while hes playing. good point, but in my experience, they were so into the shows that they couldn't careless whether I watched it with them or not.

The movies are fine for bonding but you can generally get away with hassle free gaming while she watches a marathon of Prison Break or Dexter.

Here is the triple advanced secret reason why...most often..these shows cast several male characters of different stereo types in the hopes that one will catch the "eye" of female viewers. Usually they do.

So the misses is quite happy to have you slink away to your gaming den while she oogles Dexter or Scofield for 8 hours on end. lol

Let the woman have her fun while you have yours. win win
