that soundtrack was epic. oui papa. listening to it now.

Movie was chuck full of style, and visuals were a treat. but its still a forgettable movie. not bad at all, just not great.

I was somewhat disappointed. but if you were a fan of the original there is a lot to appreciate here.

Fans of the original should definitely check this out. Awesome soundtrack and dazzling visuals. Nothing new or groundbreaking  but I enjoyed it, favorite scene was the light cycle battle of course. Also really liked Olivia Wilde as Quorra.

You saw it in 3D archer?

I want to know if the 3D is a "must have" experience of this film?

Ok just saw it and the film is not in true 3D

the light cycle scenes were awesome but not in 3D.....

It had minimal 3Dage in them so i would advise not....... also......

I made the mistake of watching the FIRST one last week and omfg .....

the story WAYYYY better than this one I dunno if i was just sleepy

but i was bored while they were talking between light vehicle scenes....

anyway i agree with archer if u saw the first go see this just for the GRID

and the action scenes within it.....also for the character's stories

to see what happened with them...
Spoiler (hover to show)

AND it was worth it just to see young jeff bridges  ......

but seriously that piece of CGI was exceptionally well done.

Was in MTowne Chag and well 3D was the only option for us lol, found myself raising the glasses off my face for a few seconds just out of curiosity.

I wouldn't really say it "must" be viewed in 3D.There were a few scenes in 3D but the visuals are just so dazzlingly good. In saying that I don't think you would be missing anything by seeing this in regular 2D.

Also about your "spoiler"

Took it in again in 3D.

Enjoyed it a LOT more. Appreciated some parts of the story that I missed the first time, and action sequences were decent with the 3D. (there is not a huge difference in normal parts though)

This show got torn apart by critics, but I personally believe they were too harsh oui. Story was lacking but it certainly has some depth if you pay attention. (past the disney glasses)

and visually, well I think the only other movie that came close was Avatar. This has to be one of the best looking films out there atm.

Show needed more of TRON himself though, and a little more action in some parts.

but oui papa DAFT PUNK in this never gets old.

There's quite a contrast in the reviews for this one. Just check the scores on Rottentomatoes (critics) and IMDB (general audience) to see what I mean.

This movie was EPIC to me, not because of the story or the graphics (which were pretty okay to me) but because of the subtle religious/spiritual/philosophical cues in it. This movie looked how I want games to look one day, it showed how I want to travel one day, the clothes are how I want to dress (light-up samurai/jedi cloaks ftMFw) and it had serious ZEN in it.

Daft Punk also outdid themselves this rounds imo. Download iymc.

I give it a 9/10 only because the original gets a 10/10.

Btw folks... TRON is the name of the light cycle game in Flynn's arcade, not just the program so the name still works even though he wasn't as prominent.

Short and to the point, well said dude. *Chakra*

Those who were disappointed were prolly expecting this to surpass the first movie, something which these sequels that are made years after the original was in its prime never do. I just went into this with nostalgia and thats all I needed :D

For real. I think that was most ppl's mistake with Star Wars. Many thanx for chakra too. ^_^

Btw, the OST BESS. I listened to it while playing Bejeweled 2 and it was just DIFFERENT. Yes, Daft Punk. YES.

As a fan of the original, I must say, this movie was BESS!  I enjoyed it, my wife enjoyed it..twas well balanced with both storyline and action sequences. Not much 3D but who cares, the story was good! Tron although not as prominent was still a badass till the end... :)

Teaser for Tron 3 might possibly be on the Dvd/Blu ray release. Link has details on the scenes shot for it. Sounds interesting.
