I didn't see it, but I know about that twist at the end. I thought it sounded foolish. I just don't see how it can even be possible.

^^^  Really?  I just watched the movie today...and I have to agree with Rage somewhat.
After the 'twist' I went back and watched over some parts, and you can see little clues
here and there, but still, he alone dispatch ALL dem men?  The gun battle in the town...
EVERYBODY miss...and he hit ALL the men he shoot at?  Nah man.  I call shenanigans.

Yuh could tief meh head eh...but do so in a 'believable', and explainable way.  This movie leave too many things unexplained
for the tief-head to really get you.

Still...quite watchable.  I will recommend it to some people, just to hear their reaction.

One underlying theme I noticed that just screamed at me...was this notion that seemed to suggest, that without the Bible, society just regresses
and becomes this evil, lawless, backward hell-hole of a civilisation.  Christian fundamentalist nonsense at its very WORST. :(

i watch d movie, and from what i get from it. d world didnt regress into what it become because of d abscene of d bible. d world turn into what it is becuase of war.
it had ah nuclear war, dat basicaly rape d planet, and ppl blamed d bible for said war, and as such, decided to burn all. not d other way around.

And d movie try to show that education was d key, to get society back on track, nobody could read etc. and d library at d end, show dat education was d route back to civilization, and dey show that d bible was ah key piece of literature that shud be present to guide society back to where it needs to be.

And d thing in d town, where everybody miss, have to do with d voice he hear tellin him he will be protected. (God was looking out for him i eh knwo lol, ) but dies what it seem to suggest, which is why as he hand over d bible to d man, he was able to get his ass shot.

Dies my 2 cents i got from d movie.

yeah, I think messiah have it right.

That's the same thing I thought

As for the twist, it was the saving grace because the whole "villain trying to go Jim Jones with the bible" thing was getting soft. It needed a killer ending.

Well done.

So you trying to suggest that there was some sort of supernatural 'protection' at work?

Nah...I think that was all in his head.  Try again. :)

lol, come on man arc....the man name is Eli (from the bible)

The name of the movie is book of Eli

The man toting a bible and hearing voices in his head, leading him to go west.

You don't have to be a religious zealot to put the pieces together. lol

What else can you derive from that? if not supernatural involvement?

All the better I rate it.

...and believe me...I've seen some people go pretty deep with their explanations of the storyline, but I didn't see anyone
make a direct supernatural connection.  I have a hard time putting that kinda spin on it.  The part where they were in the
old couple's house being shot at....Eli peeked out of the window  to see what he was up against.  Was that a mistake by the filmmakers?

What about the part where he looked down at the bikers who killed the couple on the road?  Was that a mistake as well?

Is like they try to tief yuh head...and made some editing blunders along the way.  The continuity of the plot just isn't there for me.

d part with d bikers, as far as eli concenred, d voice tel him go west, he did not want to sway from the "path", and get involved with anybody if he doesnt have too, which is how it was throughout d whole show, he always trying to be alone. d part with peeking out d window to see wah he up against, i doh see d confusion?

In any event, eli get on like ah hater, and d show was mad.
