Sinestro forms a shield that looks a lot like Cap's minus the star :laughing7:

Don't worry, a lot new scenes are shown but they cut away from it quickly.

I never really cared about reviews, all reviews say is that the authors didn't like the film. Still gonna go see this next week. In a way I wasn't expecting stellar reviews to begin with just good. IMDB user reviews are much better. The real test will be how much it makes opening weekend.

I am expecting alot from this film (DC Fanboy here). And as for critics, sometimes I wonder when they go to see a summer blockbuster are they expecting to see frickin Gone with the wind. At the end of the day, I always ask myself 3 questions after seeing a flick. Was it entertaining? Was it true to the source? And finally did I enjoy the experience. I am guessing, that when I see this in the next couple weeks (opening week lines too long) the answer for all three will be YES! YES and wait a minute, no wait, ah YES!!!!!

I would say the real test is the second weekends take ins...as the opening weekend to me is just all Hype, if those numbers stay heavy the second and third week, then YES.

I don't care about reviews, I see for myself and decide for myself. Only thing I check is rotten tomatoes for older films when I bored and looking for something.

Exactly. After browsing through some of the reviews here's what i found: 1.Most of those reviewers seem to hate CBM's 2. They say it's "another" origin story 3. It's packed with a ton of GL lore but everything moves at a good pace 4. Acting was good but not great, most praised RR for his portrayal of Hal  5.It's a summer movie with a superhero

I think the fans have nothing to worry about really. I read GL and especially liked Geoff Johns run on the character and hearing that they borrowed a lot from Secret origins as well has having Johns co-produce it is great.

Yea, plus the movie should have mass appeal imo. A VFX heavy superhero sci-fi flick that seems action packed. Noticed it moved up a little on RT who knows maybe it could rise more.

Btw, I read that there is a post credits scene. Should be obvious what it is xD.

QFMFMFMFT!!!!

All titles I am extremely exited to see especially if available in 3d. I happen to catch thor the day before it closed and I was wondering if some of the film's appeal was lost without the 3d...

^ actually I read the 3d for GL is way better than Thor

I posted the screenrant article in my post atop this page. But  for all the other movies we got them down here before their release date but now we must wait a whole week after, Stupes.

Honestly I saw Thor in 3D and you did not MISS ANYTHING if you saw if normel, I for 1 intend to see GL in normel... this 3D thing they trying to scam ppl out of more money is ridiculous, dem flim makers NEED to LEARN how to use 3D before they say a movie is 3D cause honestly I haven't seen a good 3D flim since Avatar and even THAT underutilized the technology.

They said the effects in GL can be considered as "filmed in 3D"  since they are pure 3D.

I kinda suspected as such. This is a movie that the comic geeks will love but not so much the general public

Yep, most reviews say is crap, but will still go see it. Want to hear what Sheldon, Leonard, Raj and Howard have to say about it tho, take their opinion over critics.

Not entirely sure, it could attract the "summer movie crowd" since it has that fun factor.

The main problem seems to be the editing but whatever Im a gl fan I know I will love it, going with some friends that are non gl fans next week. Had a good midnight opening so lets hope it rakes in enough B.O. numbers.

I'll admit though some expectations are very high.
