Unified Logon, Impossible?? Not so says OpenID. Solution Found

i have just about had it up to here (motions towards neck) with logons and friend codes.

I've got

Wii
Smash Brothers Brawl
UT3
Games for Windows Live
Steam
Hotmail
carigamers mail
Yahoo
Facebook
Playstation Network
Xfire
ventrilo
youtube
a ton of forums
and more

It is only going to get worse as more online apps and sites come on stream.


Is there any sort of unified logon manager that can take the load out of remembering all of these usernames, IDs and passwords? Or some notion of a unified logon concept being pitched to developers the world over?

I know microsoft tried something with their ePassport but haven't heard much about that in aeons.

answered my own question (purely by luck).

While trying to figure out how to get facebook and twitter to update from one location instead of having to login to both websites, I accidentally came across this.

A solution to multiple logins across the world wide web! hallelujah.


Not just some fly by night operation mind you. it is backed by big names in the business. Yahoo, google, myspace, facebook, twitter and more.

As for updating twitter and facebook, there is a cool twitter app for facebook that does the trick, right from within facebook itself. One stop shop. Love it.
