OK @ HardOC u keep saying if physx was a problem, futermark would have done somethign about it. err They Did.

U cannot post online official through the 3dmark program if phsyx is used. That is what dey did about it, phsyx is NOT allowed in official compitions. But its still included for users to gage different performance of different physx cards in there rig etc, but you are not allowed to post you scores online through the 3dmark program using physx.

Every other world recognised benchmarking compition follows suit.

And @ all d low end physx users, myself and phoenix have noticed d use of physx for men to increase dey score long time. but to be honest, it was not touching my score, so i coulda care less. But when u coming to take top spot, yuh have to come legit, when i first posted my system on gatt, i was beated by many stripes by all d mods, to provide certain information to back up my claims. FirstChoice posted his rig, wiht no such information, and was accorded to #3 spot imediately.

When u gunning for d top spots, u have to hold urself by ah different standard, and make sure all yuh stuff in order, to take d spot properly. So i think its unfair for ah man to post ah physx rig to take top spot with. If that same man disables physx he still has the top spot, so whats d problem? Is not like if he disable physx we go beat him, d man stil untop. but all in all,  my opinion is, physx should not be allowed officialy. post physx results in personal thread, dey shouldnt belong in the official rankings.

And FirstChoice, you have yet to say if both the CF and QuadSLI rigs are you OWN personal rigs. Benchmarks should not be submitted if the rig in question is not built/and bought with yuh own money.

If the submission of such rigs are allowed, i can easily go home, take isme2003 liquid cooled 5970, slap it in mine, and call it ah benchmark.
like ah go have to let you come by me and stay a year boy, so u go see who is the owner of them..

man getting invitation to house... better make sure that legal... XD

That aside, some will take it serious and others not so serious, at the end of the day is all in good fun. So far the odds seem stacked in favour of leaving it out. I'm still waiting to get feedback from some ppls, but it seems to be going 1 way so far.

I did not realize all this went on.....

Yes I have an nvidia chip and I use PhysX

Yes this is not no official thing as Hard O/C said so I really dunno what is all the ranting about with physX, I'm not even close to the fricking top 5 but that's another issue.

W1n, I say let there be an EXTREME benchmarking thread created for those who are up to the challenge with "High end rigs" to be made with ALL SPECIFIC RULES OUTLINED, whether it is going to follow international benchmarking competition standards etc etc and let all who wanna be in that go jump in dey and have fun waving around dey e-penis lol

As far as I am concerned our vantage thread is for FUN!! I want it to stay so

I done talk...

I have both, and while I understand the problem with including it in the rankings... I do believe that our Top 20 list wasn't meant to be no hard and fast type of "competition". Why not just argue that men have "unfair" advantages when running Water Cooled rigs, or multiple GPU's, or even the OC'ed systems for that matter...

my point is, there was never a problem with it before, is only because men fraid they lose the top spot that they want it excluded. As is just for our little bragging rights, let's leave it in... If men wanna go and buy a nVidia GPU just to boost they score, then fine by me, is their money to spend, just like is their choice to spend extra on water cooling and high end parts etc.

 - If you want to partake in other benchmarking compettions on a global scale, then fine, stick to their rules. But as far as our little piece of the internet goes, it's all for fun, f-u-n

And since you gonna be adding that nVidia card to your rig for "a few more points" then why not get the Folding@Home client setup one time and put your rig to work for a greater cause? :happy0203:

@ Netizen1

All those parts etc u call is multi/cross platform, phsyx is limited to nvidia user's only, (or d men who wants to go through d hardship of putin it on ati platform), and dats one of d main reasons its not allowed on the global scale.

All this talk about man fraid dey spot get take , again, is balls.

Alyuh honestly think, i cant buy ah gtx 260 and put it with my already beasty rig, and inflate my score by 5000? :S

Den d gap between d top 5 and alyuh will be even futher, becuase our rigs will benifit from phsyx even more in 3dmark, than alyuh own. Do alyuh self ah favor, dis-allow phsyx, :) alyuh go stand ah better chance in d rankings.

Edit: http://hwbot.org/init.results.submit.do?applicationId=17

ROFL dem men have it big in red yes. lolol

Woulda be nice to see someone 'beat the dragons' with an AMD platform though. Sounds impossible doesn't it?

that one just might be for the while, but i must say i warming up to AMD you know, that 6 core under 300 bucks that when OC performing like ah 980X, what more can you ask for

From everything i've read the Phenom II X6 is GREAT for the video editor or ppl with level mutlitasking, the Intel for mixed and gaming, though honestly even on the gaming front the FPS difference isn' THAT large and all above 120FPS so I doh see the big deal XD

welll it only have one way to find out...... Wintry...true but still i personal finds the intel runs better, in most of the things i do, by June i will buy the latest AMD 6 core and see what it can do to compare it to my i7 980X, was considing going with the EVGA mainboard that holds 2 Xeon 5660 CPU's. but funds kinder low at the moment. anyway i also have to post up meh mainboard for sale since i might upgrade that aswell.
