Havn't been around for a while. i blame it on the school work. 
got a little free time an did a little searchin on fones an found this little baby.
Damn is all i hav 2 say. the usual bells an whistles u expect in a smart fone but den dey drop dat heavy 12mp cam on u. dats a better pixel ratin dan most of the cams we own. jees. and its sleek an looks good damn.
hope its as good as its pixel rating and does diappoint as i am a cam person.

lol, spk, it is something tangible and simple to wrap your brain around.

3ghz is much easier to appreciate as being better than 2ghz. Rather than all that techno babble mmx, core 2 duo, phenom, core7, 3dnow, gumblygook.

One can assume if the chip is a 4Ghz that it will also have the bells and whistles to match.

Same with megapixels. If I got a camera/phone with 3 megapixels and you've got one with 12. One can assume (and 9 out of 10 times, you'd be right) that the 12 megapixel camera will have more bells and whistles than my lowly 3 megapixel version. That goes for lens, ccd quality, effects, lcd quality, etc....

I mean, it's just really difficult to get worked up over something like that nowadays....

Now say if it was introducing something like the Samsung i7410, that would be something to really note, as it's bringing some tech that you wouldn't have found in a cell phone before.

Sometimes the technobabble is needed, otherwise you'd think a P4 @ 3 GHz is a better performing chip than say...a Q6600. Just a note eh.

Well there were a good few times, I had to deal with cameras that had lower pixel ratings, yet gave better quality pictures overall...from quite back in 2002, I remember my 'lowly' Olympus 1.3 Mpixel camera, was taking better pictures than newer Sony 4 Mpixel cameras...and the Sony cost more btw. That's when I learned that when it comes to picture quality, the lens itself is key.

Yeah I agree megapixels now don't say much. A good lens with a 5 mp camera would be enough to satisfy most people needs.

And that's my general point. I not saying the phone not nice (even though it may not be to my taste), just that the time is long gone IMO where the camera would be a key selling point.

At least for the Samsung I mentioned earlier, that bringing something entirely new to the table (built in video projection).

I shudder to think what the cost of that Sony is gonna be though....

i agree with all of wat was said but higher mp suppose 2 mean a better image but is has to be wit a high quality lens. an unfortunately sony is not know 4 dat. wish it was a nokia. for me i don't always walk wit my digi cam as its a slr like cam an walkin wit it isn't always best in jamaica. lol. if u kno wat i mean. i use my n95 2 take pics often. so i like 2 use my fone cam for images. also i need 2 edit pics 2 do wat i need so i need high pixel ratings. so i c d benefits of hav a alot of mp on a fone. an i also hav no intension of buyin a point an shoot cam. but dats jus me.
