hi can you guys reccomend a software that i can use to rip dvd's and convert them to smaller like under 1gig...?

divx or xvid for compression

I've used DVDPean recently to convert some dvds. Pretty nice app.

I've used FairUse and GordianKnot. (AUTOGK for the uninitiated)

FairUse is very very simple. Might want to give that a shot.

shrink , never used it for that, I am thinking in terms of a 4gig shrink down to 2gig
