 I think  the  main focus is making the Cryengine more versetile and usable ie. like the unreal 3 engine ,  crysis is already pushing the limits of gaming technology and can implement just about every feature DX10 has.

looks good, but am I the only one who thinks it looks exactly like their last engine? why name it 3 if it looks the same? probably gotta wait for a PC demo to see it really shine.

And this is different from CryEngine 2 how? Granted that its a low quality video, I see nothing spectacular there. But you can bet that you're gonna need at least 2 hd4870x2's in crossfire to even smell the fps double figures...forgive me if my excite-o-meter seems to have dead batteries at this point in time.

I can understand perfectly where the Capn is coming from.  My guess is that its a heavily tweaked and optimised version of CryEngine2.
If it runs properly on consoles, then I'm sure its a LOT more forgiving hardware-wise.
