Watchmen
« on: March 09, 2009, 02:12:33 AM »
Finally got a chance to see it.

I really enjoyed this movie. A very different take on superheores....a different style of storytelling. Its more SIN CITY than typical action comic book movie.

REAL gorey sh!t in this movie btw :P just saying for those wanting to carry the "feint of heart" girl/guy looking for a "kickup". Its a superhero movie...just remember that first.

Was everything we were expecting, even the small changes were forgiven, except i would say the ones pertaining to Rorschach, didnt like that very much. Ending still pissed me off just like in the comics.

The one...dangling.. swinging..blue..in your face all de mc time problem?
yeah i think we all no... and not even one vag shot to compensate!!

Quick question, if I never read the comics for this will I be like huh? or is it easy to follow?

And the CGI rod action already has me not looking forward to seeing it on a bigscreen lol

At least read a synopsis of the comic on wiki, it will give an idea of what you can expect.

That movie was BOSS!
Just came back from watching it, and having not read any of the comics before, i picked up all the little things pertaining to the story... down to the ending.
But that movie had alot of things i did not expect to see.. especially the lil softcore scene...
but all in all, it take my coveted Favorite Movie spot  :D

will you didnt pick up all the the little things, cause they certainly didnt show all of the litle things
and the little thigns they showed, the really fastforwarded through them

i definately recommend reading the graphic novel

i was just thankful that when he was in super huge form in the lab
he didnt turn an full frontal
i would have probably left after that one..

Yeah, Dr Manhattan made it a bit awkward. Had a mixture of giggling and steupsing whenever he forgot to wear his lil bathing suit, lol.

Overall the movie was solid, but as said before the end wasn't that great. No big deal though, the rest of the movie was immensely satisfying.

the lil softcore scene...

Great scene! Seems like Snyder has gotta have one in all his movies now, lol.
You have part of my attention - you have the minimum amount.

Yea like friendly sniper said it was very satisfying. Loved the fight scenes, everybody cringed every time a blow was dealt. Plus the sounds effects for them sounded brutal. But i loved every minute of it.  :happy0203:

Yea they sounded very hard. But it was the first time i went "wow" while watching a fight scene in a movie. The opening fight scene was cool.

Yea there are hard lashes and action scenes, but bear in mind the movie is 2hrs 40mins. And if u did not read the graphic novel be sure to follow the story in the movie closely.

yeah boy, near three hours but definitely worth it. Not your father's super hero movie. Not by a long shot!

That ending left me heavy. Talk about not getting your just desserts.

Rorschach made the movie, the prison scene, lol. That man redefines badass yes.

Dr. Manhattan did well most of the time too. Not happy with the penis but say what, minor issue. We did get some T&A to compensate, a lil too much of the A though.

Real lol @ the imba war scenes.

9 out of 10 Wining Boil Corn on this one.

It seemed the general public liked this one too. Coming out of the cinema at movie towne ppl were like "it was good". Now that surprised me. Cause i know everyone in there did not read the book. Maybe they liked it cuz it different from other superhero movies. Anyway it is bada$$.
