At my office there is a projector that needs repairs.

It is a Sony VPL-CX70 portable projector

A user damaged the lens cover by failing to properly turn the projector off via the power button before unplugging it.

When you try to turn it on, you hear a whirring sound of the motor trying to open the lens cover, but the cover opens only partially. While you can force the cover open and closed, I prefer if it works as advertised.

Anyone knows of a projector repair specialist in the west/POS area? Info would be appreciated.

at first i was like what?? damage a lens cover??? then ohhh its an automatic thingy

then i started laffing my ass off.
call courts an ask, they repair sony crap

Yes, the lens cover opens automatically when the projector is turned on.
