So they FINALLY nerf the 40mm (somewhat) AFTER -certain- people use it
almost EXCLUSIVELY to level up to 30 and over...  :(  (often at my expense)

What a crock of s#!t!!!  I find they shoulda remove it COMPLETELY.

Yay for shotgun and Gustav nerf though.  It was getting kinda ridiculous.  Now we can get back to shooting one another...with actual BULLETS this time. :)

Even MORE yay for more sensor mines.  Not happy about mortar nerf though.

Decreased the base damage of the M60 and XM8 LMGs to bring them in line with the other LMG damage values.

YES!!!!

Reduced the lethal blast range of the 40mm grenade and M2CG to highlight their role as a secondary weapon against infantry.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Slightly increased the base damage of shotgun rounds and reduced their range to clarify ideal shotgun combat distance.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Slightly reduced the rate of fire of the M1911 pistol to balance it with other pistols.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Significantly increased the speed of the Tracer Dart projectile to make it more effective against airborne targets.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Increased the reload time of the Mortar Strike and reduced the damage it does to heavily armored vehicles.

WTF???!?!?!?!?

Slightly increased the Health of soldiers in Hardcore for better Kit Balance.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I already have over 1000kills with the shotty so no biggie there. And they DID say slightly reduced range so we'll see what's what.

My kdr could finally rise now that Medics with m60's probably wont contribute to 50% of my deaths.

The couple times I used the tracer I found it to be very difficult to pin on helicopters in motion.

PROBLEM #2: "Everything is Slow, Server browser, in-game Lag, Bad Performance"

A:
This has nothing to do with the patch. This has to do with server congestion. Although Bad Company 2 uses Dedicated Servers-- all the Ranked servers still have to communicate with EA "Master" servers that handle Stat Tracking. You join a server, you play, you get points- the server reports that to EA's Master server, and the EA Master server updates your profile.

EA's servers also handle logging into/out of your account.

The reason why everything is "slow" right now is because there's a dibgital traffic-jam into/out of EA's server architecture. EVERYBODY patched today, ALL the servers are getting the updates, and EVERYBODY is trying to get on right after the patch. Chill out, sit back, give it a day. Not everyone is going to have this issue. It's heavily dependent on your ISP and location- but it'll clear up by itself.

saw this on a ea forums, hopefully thats the reason. i'll try again ltr

interesting find haterforever, makes sense.

Hopefully in the next couple of days, it will ease up.

the ATI patch has done an AMAZING job of speeding up load times. Who would ever think that a graphics card driver could have such a profound effect on the loading time of a game. Takes 1/3rd the time to get into a map now. sweet.

Also, our server seems to have an issue that causes people to crash. Once there are 20 people on the server, it crashes your game.

Very very strange bug.

Hopefully once we get that sorted out, and the digital traffic jam is over, things should be smoother.

Good sweat tonight fellas.

good fight, good night.

Only issue I've had since the patch was with the knife.

Sneaked up to a guy and knifed him in the back...saw the blood spill and all...no kill though.
Knifed again...and again...and again...just slashing away til eventually his teammate killed me.

He probably never knew I was there.

Well I reach home after 10pm, so it was straight to bed.  I trust the update had a profound effect on gameplay?
Reading the events log on the R-con, I noticed yall had some choice words with two players, who promptly left after the exchange. :laughing7:

I think it was the ''You got a team of more than 6 noobs?" comment that did it.

...and I noticed a player got kicked too.  I wonder why?

Why allyuh hadda be so 'vicious'? :laughing7:

I kick da man because a man arm my objective, I kill him and along comes this genius on my team who proceeds to kill me just as I was about to disarm and just stood there (no where close to the mcom) and watched it get blowed up.

Who exactly made that comment? I was there but was in a battle and the message disappeared b4 I could read it.

OK, so I just did a 'full wipe' of the server in an effort to resolve
the '20+ players crash issue' that we've been experiencing.

We all need to bum-rush the server later to see if its fixed.

Who say it?  :)

With the new R10 servers came this warning from the GSP...

Quote
Since R10 was released there are 2 known issues:

1. Favorites are not working properly, your favorites will show servers "greyed" out
2. Servers are showing up as "Hardcore" erroneously

These 2 issues will be fixed in R11 which will be delivered as an emergency push to correct these issues.

Let me know if you get any of these issues.

As for the 20+ thing...if its not resolved, then I'll have to raise an official support ticket with Gameservers.

OK arc later we'll this that out

BTW RESPAWN FREEZE FIX (This is a quote for the EA FORUMS i just copy/paste)
REASON FOR THE RESPAWN FREEZE:

Your anti-virus(AV) is causing the respawn freez. As a DICE-member stated earlier the problems most likely lies in the saved class file. Every time you respawn the game checks the GameSettings.ini file for class configs, and the AV got some of problem with this, making the game freez for a second, sometimes more.

SOLUTION FOR THE RESPAWN FREEZ:

Add the BFBC2 folder in your "My Documents" to the anti-viruses exeptions-list. [ I've checked, and its the only folder who needs to be added ]
Ex: "C:/Users/[NAME]/My Documents/BFBC2/"
