you should image your drive so if this install works, you have a backup you can always just reinstall to.

Best solution is to have 2 Partitions:

C: and D:

C: for OS,
D: for storage/games.

Juss make a Games folder and install everything to that.
Install Steam to that games folder as well, so all games installed by steam goes there.

That way, if u format ur computer, as soon as u reinstall steam to the D: drive, all ur games intact.

i install all my non-steam games to d:\Games also,

when reinstalling d games, it detects d files already in d d:\games, and does finish fast. d install does jus be doing registry and what not.

Steam backup ftw. All my currently installed games are legit steam versions. A full steam backup is all I do.

I keep my machine very simple, only essential applicaions and utlities are installed (overclock, monitoring, video playback, drivers).

As such when its clean install time, I run install disk. I prefer not to use images.

As mentioned somewhere on the forum, I reinstalled windows 7 and steam launched and fired up all my games.

No backup required.

From the original folder.

Gotta love windows 7, gottal love steam.

Steups @ shameless gears of war plug in the battlefield thread.

Messiaah aint go be happy until he convert the whole of GATT into GoW players. Lol

Good practice yesterday fellers. I think the new squad ready for the bajans. 1 day in the hyperbolic chamber with notnice, blocker and warone was all we needed.

I've said in voice chat and I'll say it hear again. We are fortunate to have two brilliant squad leaders like triniblocker and notnice.

Now that warone is back, well that's three 30+ ranked men on the roster.

Lihixxxxx

Yours truly,

Uncle Carl

just normal. All my games on the same partition as my OS. I haven't done separate partitions for os/data in ages.

I'll only do that when I get a nice, brisk solid state drive for my OS and even then, I'd probably put a few critical games on it, like badcompany 2, lol

My OS and Games on the same physicl drives, but 2 separate partitions.
Dat way i can complete format c: with windows and whatever, and no loose a game, juss reinstal steam to D: and talk done, eveyrthing lanchges.

If something goes wrong with C: drive, dont have to wonder what ill loose, since everything important is on or redirected to D:

My documents, desktop, games, etc etc.

You can earn an INSANE amt of poits as a medic.  More so than any other class in my opinion...if you do lots of heals/revives.
Of course, laying waste to the enemy with a M249/M60 LMG wouldn't hurt either.

I actually started by using Recon, but with the Thompson SMG as my primary weapon, then the SVU.  Was never too good at the bolt-action
rifle usage.  Using Recon is rather rewarding if you take up the 'assault-Recon' role, i.e. not using an actual sniper rifle.  As I've demonstrated
on more than one occasion, those sensor-mines are absolutely ESSENTIAL, if you don't want the op-for to successfully flank/overwhelm you.
...and you get to use the Mortar-Strike.  Wonderfully effective in dealing with armour, and groups of enemies.  Even other camping snipers.
When combined with the explosive-upgrade specialisation, well, you know the results.

interesting, and as "assault recon" you get to tote C4 as well, not so?

Think I'll run through medic as per your recommendation and then give that assault recon a go.

On another note, wtmc @ messiaah butchering his own squad mates.

Man slice captain throat not once, not twice, but NINE times.

Where the love?? where the love??
