Well, it looks like the rumors were true - DICE has announced today that Battlefield 1943: Pacific is in development. BF1943 seems to be essentially a remake of the Pacific Theatre of Battlefield 1942, brought into the future with DICE's own Frostbite engine. But that's not all - BF1943 will be released for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Is this the Battlefield 3 we have been waiting for?
