Why you NEED to know your way around your modem

So just a few minutes ago I installed a new firewall Comodo firewall for 64-bit windows to be exact and low and behold it alerts me that IP 190.59.77.172 is trying to contact my pc on rpc port... so I go hmmm interesting, so I decide just outta curiousity to plug said IP into my browser and TADA I get a ADSL prompt and would you know, it's using the DEFAULT username and password XD.... by this point I am like... NAH cyah be serious so I investiage further and what would you know it's a wireless TSTT ADSL modem. So I prod through the settings and see WPA and AES and I think to myself... hmm well whoever set it up seems somewhat interested in security, they at least put proper wireless encryption on... but failed to change the default password... and allow management access from the WAN port... anywhos here are some screenies, hope it's not any of yall cause I could NOT leave those rather 'open' and 'unsafe' settings as is 

I got a screenie of the username too, anyone... remind me what the default password is. XD

you should of blocked out the ip address, alot of ppl modems are open take my word for it.

I actually don't mind the sidebar, easier to see the time XD as for who modem that was, I don't know. Presumably someone in couva area since 679 is the area code for there.

see i know that! but yeah losta ppl still using the default pws it so easy to port scan and not even brute it, i can't call it that.

just get in using the defaults and watch the pw under the DSL<<insert line number>> and if it have 6 characters bam, 123456 is the password, start giving out unlimiteds like doubles (well to whoever still on dial up...srly...70TTD for blink come on)

So 679-1105 is your home number?....
