You also have to consider your usage. If you're gaming, the most important aspect will be response time or refresh rate. Many monitors claim 4-8ms (which is where you want to be) but it is actually only on the grayscale side of things... also if you're into photography there are colour properties you have to consider... there are colour standards that we usually don't realize exist (I had a discussion recently about this with a colleague whos heavily into photography at HIGH RES). There is your standard cmyk or whaev there is an Adobe colour standard, etc.... basically it comes down to how high the res is and colour saturation, etc. N00b wasn't there a thread with this?
