lol, I still not sold on this quad business yuh know. It's for a friend.

Still trust my dual core 3ghz over this 2.4ghz q6600 chip. When an affordable 3ghz quad reach, then my rig will get quad lovin' and not a moment before.

well look at it this way. you might get it cheaper, but you wont get the warranty. PC tech gives i think 3mths warranty on it.

Is years now I have maintained a "no overclocking" mantra much to crixx's chagrin. lol

Is not like I'm running a turtle equivalent molasses pace rig. My PC was in the top 10 not once but twice, and each time without the benefit of any warranty voiding, blue screen inducing antics so haul alyuh mc. lol

Thanks for the assist kgfalby

If they say Jan 5th I can just order one from online cheaper for my boy. He was a bit anxious though.

a padner had a Qsomething processor 2.33ghz in his hands today

He paid like $1600 for it from some local vendor. For the right amount of gold I'll tell you where he lives, lol

q82 - only 2.33 processor i know of.

was looking at that myself, if you not gonna use any kinda vitualization then its a good buy. The q82 is the only quad processor without VT.

the no VT thing was a deal breaker for me, i like my VMs so that get bun.
