Off the bat, I can see you're an Nvidia fan with the SLI mobo and 9800GT. I would be the devil's advocate and say you should consider a P45 motherboard and an AMD video card. If You are going to spend 160USD on a card, it could very well be a 4850, or spend a little more and opt for the 4870.
4850
4870

I concur with W1ntry on the mobo choice, but quoting Newegg makes no sense.  We all know how 'easy' it is to purchase from them.

Here is the same mobo W1ntry quoted on Amazon.  Cheaper too.

...and look yuh 4850, at the same price point as the 9800 GT,
which performs a LOT better.

Everything else good to go.  (If you need RAM, I have that.  PM me for details)

EDIT:  Upon closer inspection, I realised that The mobo I quoted is not the same.

The one I quoted was the Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R

The one W1ntry quoted was the Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P

Its easy to confuse one with the other, as the layouts are almost identical,
but see if you can spot the differences:

GA-EP45-UD3P

GA-EP45-UD3R

So, in essence, I should have quoted THIS one. (which is not cheaper than on Newegg - my fault for not checking properly)

My apologies for the confusion.
Notodd1991, which mobo you choose should depend on if you ever intend on using CrossfireX at all.
Go with the GA-EP45-UD3P if you can afford it.  You can always add another 4850 to stretch
the system's legs if the games start to become too much for a single one.  Otherwise, the GA-EP45-UD3R should do nicely.

So the 4850 is better than the 9800gt?

If i get some more cash i will go for the GA-EP45-UD3P.

The HD4850 stands head and shoulders above the 9800GT interms of performance.

Take a read...

Notice that the 9800GT isn't even IN that list for comparison.  Thats because the HD4850
is more on par with the 9800GTX, which it beats handily.

So you shouldn't even be considering the 9800GT now.

I'm surprised no-one addressed this sooner, but WHAT kinda power supply are you getting from your cousin, Notodd?

It makes no sense you spend all this money one these parts and then your power supply is some el cheapo $200 hand-me-down from your cousin.  I thinks you need to tell us that exactly your cousin is giving you.

^ for true

i would say go with a 500-700 with some decent I on it, as is you oc'ing your sh1t will start to pull pwr like ah mad man.

A good pwr supply IS THE BASE OF YOUR SYSTEM. others will call mobo but i prioritize pwr supply, cuz you could have the most badder men mobo ram board and chip, and everything will work like sh1t on crack if you can't supply proper pwr to it.

Do NOT skimp on this.  Good brands are:

PC Power & Cooling
Enermax
Antec
Corsair
OCZ
Thermaltake
Cooler Master

Those brands are less likely to go > PAX!!! < after a few months of use.

My personal choice: Cooler Master Real Power Pro 850W.
I've had it since July, and its performance has been nothing short of excellent thus far, but you can't go wrong with any of the others.
