As someone pointed out in a thread they weren't aware of how to post thumbnails as opposed to full screen captures, or otherwise generally too large for the forum pics. And as I have been on numerous occasions have to ask ppl to post thumbnails to the benefit of our dial up members I will now simply give you 1 of the easiest ways to do such.
Just head over the
www.imageshack.us you'll be greated by a VERY simple interface that allows you to upload an image (below a certain size, doh worry @ least 1 MB) or link an image from another website. You have some options as to how you want to optimize the size of the image that is displayed when a person clicks on said thumbnail. The first page looks as follows and has a 2 other options as you will see:
Imageshack supports quite a few image formats. The common of course jpg, png, tiff, etc. It'll tell you if the format you attempt to upload or link is not supported.
What's more important are the links that are produced by imageshack once the upload is complete. Click on the thumbnail below
What you will notice is that there is a link already highlighted, which coincidentally is the thumbnail you just clicked on. It's VERY self explanatory and if even after this guide you still don't get how to post thumbnails then you need LIX. They give you FULLY TAGGED links to post thumbnails, post to websites, direct link to image etc. THE ONLY other thing to be concerned with is the choice of resolution which is select from the first page where you upload. Look at the first thumbnail you'll see I selected a drop down menu with options. In most cases the default is fine, however for threads like the 'What's on your desktop' you can select to optimize without re-sizing option.
