Here's a breakdown of what NOT to do on the GATT forums:
DO NOT DO ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ON THESE FORUMS!
- SPAM. This includes:
- Making posts that have nothing to do with the topic.
- Creating topics that make no sense.
- Double-Posting. USE THE MODIFY BUTTON.
- Writing in ways nobody can understand, be it 1337 speak, complete gibberish and even binary code.
- Flame/Insult other members on the forums.
- Having 'live' conversations on the forums. Leave that for MSN Messenger, please.
- Making threads that could have been resolved through a PM (Private Message).
- Posting with the aim to annoy other users.
Also, please note that while we can't tell you how to post, please show some discretion when you do so. This includes excessively bad spelling, punctuation, and so on, which can serve to irritate and annoy a lot of forum members when they try to read what you're saying.
I'd also like to point out to each and every one of you out there who clicks on a thread, doesn't like what's being discussed and sees fit to ruin the thread with negative/rude/offensive comments just one thing.
IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT'S BEING DISCUSSED, LEAVE THE THREAD ALONE.

-USE OBSCENE LANGUAGE.
This isn't the Navy, so leave the sailor talk at HOME.
If you absolutely must cuss (perhaps to drive a point home, or whatnot), please CENSOR YOUR OBSCENITIES.

-POST NSFW MATERIAL WITHOUT TAGGING IT FIRST.
NSFW - Not Safe For Work. Don't post things here that you wouldn't want your parents, teacher or boss to see if they happened to be passing by your computer.
Absolutely FORBIDDEN IN ANY FORM on this forum are:
- Pornography
- Excessively Gruesome/Violent/Disturbing Content
- Screamers
- Links leading to Viruses/Malware/Anything that inflicts harm upon a user's computer
The following are not necessarily forbidden, but MUST be marked with a 'NSFW' warning in your post:
- Mildly Sexually Suggestive Content
- Documents/Video/Sound Bites containing obscene language
-REVIVE DEAD THREADS.
Once it's more than three months old or falls off the first page of the forum, consider it dead.
- However, you can revive a thread if there are some interesting news and developments concerning it.
-COME HERE JUST TO ADVERTISE.
Wrong place to do so. If you ignore this and do it anyway, I'll personally make sure that your experience here is a short and painfully humiliating one.
-PLAGUARISE OTHER PEOPLE'S WORK.
No copy and pasting of other people's work, be it a game review or an article, without citing the proper sources.
-START COMPLAINING IF DISCIPLINED BY A MODERATOR.
Just like the real world, if you misbehave on the forums, expect to be disciplined for it. Don't act like some toddler and go "WAAAAAAHHHH!!!" all over here. Chances are, you'll only make the moderators that much more resilient against you, and you'll end up making a royal a** of yourself.
-COMPLAINING ABOUT HOW THIS FORUM IS RUN.
Like any other forum, we have our own way of doing things. Things, mind you, which may be different from the way other forums handle their business. It's up to you (if you're new) to find out what can and what can't fly here. If that's cool with you, then welcome to here. If not, please. Spare us the whole "It was cool on that forum! Why can't I do that here?" nonsense and leave if you can't take it. We are, however, open to suggestions.
-DISRESPECT OTHER FORUM MEMBERS
Ordinarily, this should be a blatantly obvious rule, until a couple of idiots decided to push their luck about it. Needless to say, if you know your post is going to be disrespectful towards another forum member here, then follow this wise old saying:
"If you can't say something nice, don't say it AT ALL."
Picong is okay, though. Outright insulting comments will not be tolerated.
-RETURN IF YOU'RE PERMANENTLY BANNED, OR MAKE NEW ACCOUNTS IF TEMPORARILY BANNED.
Do so, and the new account(s) will be deleted, and all of your posts will be sent to the Shadow Realm.
