Whats the performance like with the rld .exe?
Is it still as bad as you described?

It runs smooth sometimes.
The game needs a patch still to worth playing on a good pc.

EA is STILL having this multicore problem? I remember this being around since the days of most wanted. That is real slackness.

I'll take some licks for the necroposting here, but I just started playing this game over the weekend, and
I must admit, some of my preconceived notions were a bit misplaced.  I am having a LOT of fun with this game, and I'm not getting any of the issues that were highlighted here, but then, Vista x86 can be a funny animal sometimes. (...and lets face it, my rig is an absolute beast  :happy0203:)

Of course it cannot hold a candle to Grid, but then, this is street racing, which has a different appeal (somewhat).  At 1680 x 1050, with all settings at absolute max, the game runs like a dream.  Minimum frame rate is 45 fps.  Very beefy selection
of cars.  The European models seem to be the superior selections here.  Currently rocking a sweet Lotus Elise.

Running from police while ducking in and out of traffic at 200 km/h is fun, any way you slice it, and after all,
a game should be fun.  Not work.
