parkour community has been waiting patiently for its release.

glad to know it doesnt seem to be dissapointing

although from the pre release trailer, who ever set up that sequence, wasnt using the best parkour moves for the scenarios they were showing, it was still none the less most promising.

What i noticed when playing is that you are free to do whatever moves you want in a given scenario.

For example there were some boxes stacked against a wall, an AC vent shaft and then the vent to get up to.

I could have

1. done a triple jump (wall to wall jump) and get to the grate in one shot (which is the more difficult move) but takes the least time
2. Use the boxes to springboard to the vent shaft and then climb that....shimmy across to the vent
3. springboard diagonally off the box straight to the vent grid skipping the shaft itself.

Had multiple situations like that im very sure people are going to figure out alot of cool ways around obstacles.

Played it, but I didn't like it at all.  Not that its a 'bad' game by any means. It looks/moves fantastically polished,
but the first person perspective had me mis-timing all the jumps, or I had to constantly look down to see where
my feet were.

If you could have chosen between 1st and 3rd person viewpoints, maybe I would have liked it.  As it is right now,
its just taking up precious HDD space. :(

I agree. I actually deleted it. I just kept missing jumps, looking around to tryu to determine where I was and in the end it just wasn't fun. I do however appreciate ppl at least trying something new in the fp genre.

I highly highly recommend sheltech. You can preorder games and a lot of times you get big releases on the same day as the release in the states. I actually got LBP before the states as it shipped before the recall. The service is veryu good. I just got Resistance 2 free as i made the 6 game purchases.

hmmm @ $525

Well my analogy is this>

If I buy 6 games @ $525...

Comparing to Gamez+ at movietowne where they sell at $475

6 games @ 525 = 3150
7 games @ $475 = 3325

Not a major difference in the long run....
But I guess I rather save my $50 dollars for the now rather than outputting it to the cost of a game I can't get til 6 purchases have been made...

But they do sound cool, might check them for blu-ray and what not.
Thanks bluvice, eroo..

The day 1 releases do sound pretty sweet....but I could wait a few days...hehe..

Was looking at the Gamestop review which is the ONLY review i bother with, but its pretty clear this guy was expecting something else from what he was playing. for a FACT I have found IGN does NOT play out their entire game before writing a full review.....and Gametrailers is REALLY not good at reviews......REALLy...they are a trailer site and should stick to that. ALthough reviewers are as dumb as posts, it is up to the developers to still convey the right design for their game to the player.
Picking up this game today anyway. Still enjoyable...but the reviewer was right, it isnt for everyone.

I think he meant $525 for the first game, the rest are normally around $475-$495 i believe..
CowSquad just got Gears of War 2 on Friday (Release Day) for $495 pre-ordered...
