Circuit City going belly up??
« on: October 08, 2008, 03:38:08 PM »
Well it seems like circuit city been in trouble for a while now and with the recent "crysis" ^_^, they have hit rock bottom, as reported on gizmodo.

Stocks have now hit....... 50c (thats 50 cents yes, cost less than a doubles) per stock.
http://gizmodo.com/5060509/circuit-city-on-the-brink-of-failure

Good time to waste money on buying up lots of stock and maybe getting controlling interest and beating best buy at its game by actually having competent knowledgeable staff?

He meant that you could have either gotten a similar spec'ed laptop for less, or a more
beastly spec'ed laptop for the same price or a little lower.

The specs of that laptop are pretty impressive nonetheless.  Exactly how much did you pay for it?

Only things with them laptops Crixx, the graphics capabilities would kinda be lacking....at least the HP had a semi-decent Nvidia card, unlike those Intel BS graphic chipsets....

Other than that, plus the extras he got, I would agree that better value for money was possible.

As phoenix31tt said though, that 'support' is sometimes worth the extra coin, especially for buyers that don't have a l33t-hax-tech on speed-dial.

...and gg on the Nvidia graphics chipset.
I would say its a good buy, and yuh get stuff free too.  Can't argue with free.

Also another thing to watch, it could be a case of lower weight could have been a factor as well, since it was for the girl and all, it's surprising how much fuss is made over a 1/2 lb in weight eh....

Overall, not a bad purchase at all.
